We are seeking a Trainee office administrator who is passionate about providing excellent customer experiences with the ability to work efficiently and accurately. During this traineeship, you will gain valuable practical experience and achieve a Certificate III in Tourism or Certificate III in Business Administration on successful completion of your traineeship. As a member of our team you will be required to: Provide high quality customer service to all stakeholders including customers and suppliers Respond to telephone, social media & email enquiries efficiently Prepare quotations for boat charter and scheduled cruises in keeping with the client needs and budget Generate invoices and where necessary process payments whilst maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and security Create booking confirmations and communicate booking details to the client and supplier whilst ensuring the highest level of accuracy. Assist with on-going customer relationship management Undertake general administration duties such as preparation of promotional materials, preparation of reports, adding and updating the website and other online content, and assisting with social media campaigns. Assist on vessels in bar, galley, host roles when required. (General Purpose Hand / Deckhand certificate training may be offered to suitable candidates) About You: Minimum of year 12 with passes in English and the ability to undertake a Certificate III Traineeship in Tourism or a Certificate III in Business Administration. A genuine interest in Tourism and Customer Service Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality Ability to problem solve using your own initiative Good typing skills and experience in using Microsoft office (word and excel) Australian resident or citizen Position and Remuneration: This traineeship is an entry-level position and will allow you to gain a Certificate III Traineeship in Tourism or a Certificate III in Business Administration. This is a nationally recognised qualification delivered through a registered training organisation. STOCKTON SANDSPIT Just north of Stockton Bridge, just 12km from Newcastle, is a birdwatching haven you have to see to believe. At Stockton Sandspit you’ll find masses of long-legged shore birds often hundreds at a time gathering and feeding in the mangrove-ringed mud... flats of the Hunter River Estuary. Visit at low tide to experience the sandspit in maximum activity. Look for flocks of red-necked avocets, foraging ibis and bitterns, and stilts wading or standing on one leg. In summer you’ll see staggering numbers of migratory birds, many of which are protected under international agreements. Some of these birds originate in the northern hemisphere, and then rest and feed at the sandspit before repeating their long flights home. Whilst birdwatching, see if you can spot the bar-tailed godwit. This large wader makes the longest-known non-stop flight of any bird an unbelievable 11,000km from Alaska to Australia. Don’t forget your binoculars, telescope or camera. The kids well they’ll enjoy this Stockton attraction as much as the sandpipers do. And the pelicans. And the terns. And the curlews.
