21.01.2022 If Coronation Drive River Walk is anything to go by, every second person has taken up running over the last couple of weeks! Luckily, there are educators out there like Tom Goom who have forgotten more about running and its associated injuries than the rest of us will ever know. In this video he discusses how simple it can be to build strength without a heap of equipment or spare time. This video is just general rather than clinical advice, so if you have any questions we're always available to help you out and keep you moving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyw0VpGncu8

19.01.2022 We started online exercise classes three weeks ago and couldn't be happier with the results! The classes are aimed at those over 60 but are open to all. As with our other services they are affordable and accessible, requiring little in the way of equipment. Class sizes are limited to six participants. If you're interested, or perhaps have relatives cooped up at home who need some help to get moving, don't hesitate to get in contact. The more the merrier!

18.01.2022 Telehealth isn't for everyone, but it's an extremely accessible option for those who would otherwise struggle to access care. https://www.smh.com.au//health-minister-wants-telehealth-t

16.01.2022 We can help! Talking to a physio via telehealth is convenient and effective. If the physio believes you would benefit from a hands on assessment, you will be referred to a practitioner with no cost to you.

16.01.2022 Physios around the world are noticing an uptick in injuries caused by new isolation-imposed exercise regimes. Often injuries occur when your body is not prepared for the sudden change you throw at it. Reach out to one of our physios if you need some advice on a new exercise program, or if you've noticed some niggling pain since you've started those stair climbs.

15.01.2022 Did you know that pregnant women and those breastfeeding are more likely to develop a condition called DeQuervain's tenosynovitis? The hormones involved in pregnancy and breastfeeding can lead to this painful condition of the wrist/thumb and make it uncomfortable to lift and grip things. A physiotherapist can give you practical advice on how to manage this and minimise your symptoms and discomfort until your hormones return to normal.

15.01.2022 Not every injury requires expensive treatment.

06.01.2022 Dr Peter Brukner looked after the Australian cricket team and Liverpool for many years and is well known to anyone who studied physio in Australia. He tends to offer simple, easily understood advice, which is what we aim to do with our patients. In particular, staying active remains crucial.

02.01.2022 Did you know studies have shown that regular exercise (150min/week) can reduce your chance of Alzheimer's Disease by 50%? That's better than any current pharmaceutical treatment. We know that sticking to a regular exercise regime can be difficult sometimes. We want to help!... Call us on (07) 3102 3671 to make an appointment or you can send us a message on FB.
