24.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all group members and supporters, make the best of it in these trying times. Update on our Q Store. Floor has been swept, seven long computer tables were scrounged from the school who had them out with free signs, Jeff and Carolyn carried two over and I help Jeff with the rest. Three tiered shelving at no cost. We also have four heavy duty shelving units to be assembled and fixed into place. Jeff and I will be up the hall on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th from 0930 hrs is any of the leaders would like to come along and help.

10.01.2022 Jeff and I spend two hours in the rear hall cleaning it out tonight, ready to turn it into our Q Store for all the camping gear plus long term storage of Activity items etc. We sweated a good bottle or two of fluids, nearly as good as a session in the gym. Unfortunately we didn't get to finish it and was wondering if any of the other section leaders could spare an hour just to sweep the hall out, just didn't have the time to finish and I am not as young as I use to be. I have put the bins out tonight and will bring in tomorrow and put them around the back of the hall behind the locked gate so we don't have them filled up for us over the break.

05.01.2022 When Matilda left 1st North Ryde Scouts and came to 2nd Northmead Scout Troop she set herself a goal to earn her ASM award and have it presented to her by Norma Notley. For Background Norma has been a Cub Leader for around 70 years and is turning 100 in February next year. Norma was the person that introduced us to scouting and convinced me to become a leader. Congratulations Matilda on your ASM and Thank you to 1st North Ryde Scouts and Leaders and thank you also 2nd Northmead Scouts and Leaders who have helped Matilda Matilda earn this great award
