22.01.2022 NR Support Brigade member Brian Fellows was laid to rest today. Brian was a long servicing and extremely highly respected RFS member. Rest in Peace, Brian, you will be missed!

20.01.2022 With much sadness, today we received the news that the NR Support Brigade has lost a very valued long term member. RIP Brian! Your rest is well deserved.

13.01.2022 After some three months of almost continuous operations, NR Support Catering have been relieved by the Army, and our Communications team by AusCAP (Australian Civil Air Patrol). NSW SES is delivering meals, allowing our Transport people to cut back their involvement also. We are continuing to provide Aviation Support. NR Support is very appreciative of these agencies for their assistance at this time. #ADF #Army #NSWSES #SES #AusCAP #OneTeamManyPlayers

13.01.2022 Just a reminder that if you're out in the heat, whether you are fire fighting, working or just enjoying the great outdoors, soft drinks & caffeine are not your best choices.

13.01.2022 Support brigade members Theo (left) and Trevor (right) chatting with local MP Kevin Hogan and Prime Minister Scott Morrison, during their visit to the Northern Rivers Fire Control Centre today. NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian at the right discussing with Operations (off camera). All in a day's work :)

10.01.2022 With all the fire activity currently occurring, NR Support Brigade has been extremely busy. * Aviation has done a fantastic job keeping the water bombers flying. * Catering as usual is keeping all the fire fighters fed. A huge task with so many in the field. * Transport has been making sure everything gets where it is needed. * Communications is vital to keeping the information flowing.... If you are wanting to help the fire fighting efforts, but do not want to be on the fire front, why not join the Northern Rivers Support Brigade? There are so many different roles, I'm sure we will have one just right for you. :)

10.01.2022 Well worth testing if you have LED lighting or a 24v --> 12v down converter in your trucks.

10.01.2022 Although this is a Victorian article, it applies equally in NSW. Please keep drones away from Fire Operations.

09.01.2022 It's with a heavy heart we have lost a great volunteer and friend. Sadly James (Jim) Hanley passed away this week. Jim was a very valued Volunteer in the Support Brigade. When something needed doing Jim was there ready to do it. Jim helped with the Catering Team and supported the Aviation Team were he could. Jim was also a very valued Member of the SES for almost 20 years. His kind heart and smiling face is going to be greatly missed by RFS Members around the Fire Control Centre and in the wider community of Casino. Rest up Jimmy.

05.01.2022 Hopefully the fire season is pretty much over, so NOW is the time to start preparing for NEXT summer. Our friends "over the border" at QRFS are getting the ball rolling. As always, if you need to burn something, check with your local Rural Fire Service for any restrictions in force or permits required.

01.01.2022 Whilst this is from Queensland, it should serve as a guide for today in the northern rivers too.
