04.01.2022 Message from OIC Walgett Inspector Swinton Man missing from Walgett found Around 5:00pm Tuesday 19 May 2020 the 19 year old male was found safe and well on a ...property neighbouring the campsite. I wish to extend my personal thanks and gratitude to all Police, our partner agencies (Lightning Ridge, Coonamble & Walgett SES Units, Walgett NSW Rural Fire Service) and members of the community who assisted and volunteered their time and resources in yesterday’s co-ordinated search for the missing male on the outskirts of Walgett. Once again, the spirit and unity within the Walgett community came to the fore. Thank you to those community members who kindly volunteered their own time to assist and enhance our searching capabilities and furthermore for the access to resources in the form of motorbikes, quadbikes, horses and aerial support. The family of the male wish to extend their gratitude to all emergency services and community members who assisted in the successful search for their son.
