24.01.2022 Applications for Round 3 of the Emergency Drought Transport Subsidy are open. Eligible primary producers can claim up to a maximum of $25,000 up to 31 December 2020, subject to funds being available. Claims can only be paid until the closing date or earlier if available funds are exhausted. 20.01.2022 Applications for Round Two funding of the Drought Transport Subsidy are closing soon on 30 June 2020. Primary producers who applied for Round One funding in the 2018/19 financial year can claim up to a maximum of $50,000 for invoices dated 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020. Primary producers who applied for Round Two funding only, can claim up to a maximum of $50,000 for invoices dated from 1 January 2018 - 30 June 2020.... All tax invoices must be submitted by 30 September 2020. Round Three funding opens on 1 July 2020. More details will be provided when updated Guidelines are released. 20.01.2022 The Special Disaster Loans - Bushfires is now available to eligible primary producers, small businesses and not-for-profits affected by the NSW bushfires since 31 August 2019. These are low-interest loans of up to $500,000 and two types are available: The Bushfire Working Capital Loan is up to $50,000 over five years, with a two year interest free and repayment free period. This loan is designed to provide immediate funds to help return and continue business operations and c...an cover wages, rebuilding and purchase of goods and services. The Bushfire Recovery Loan of up to $500,000 over ten years, with a two year interest and repayment free period. This loan is available for repairing or replacing damaged infrastructure, purchasing livestock or replanting areas that were affected by the disaster. To fast track your application: 1. 16.01.2022 The NSW Government has lifted the cap for the Drought Assistance Fund (DAF) to $100,000 per primary producer. Interest-free loans are available to primary producers to implement systems and management practices that enhance the sustainability of their farm business. This loan will fund:... the transport of stock, fodder and water genetic banking of breeding herds installation of on-farm fodder and water infrastructure activities that promote profitability and resilience as a result of the on-farm investment The loan term is seven years and there are no repayments required in the first two years. 14.01.2022 Did you apply for the Drought Transport Subsidy in the 2019/2020 financial year? Invoices for funding under Round 2 must be submitted to the RAA by Wednesday, 30 September to receive payment. Round 2 of the DTS program includes movements of fodder, water and livestock up to 30 June 2020 in accordance with the program guidelines available here. ... A subsidy is still available under Round 3 of the DTS program, which is currently open and has been expanded to include transport of purchased stock to a farm business. Under Round 3, eligible producers are entitled to a cap of up to $25,000 up to 31 December 2020 or until funding allocation is exhausted, in accordance with the program guidelines available here. 13.01.2022 An additional $310 million for emergency drought relief has been announced by the NSW Government. This funding includes $116 million to continue the Drought Transport Subsidy to help with costs of transporting fodder, stock, fertiliser, water and other farm inputs. 11.01.2022 The Australian Government has extended the Emergency Bushfire Response in Primary Industries Grants until December 2020. The Special Disaster Grant eligibility guidelines have been expanded to allow more of our state’s primary producers to access the assistance. If you are an eligible primary producer, you could receive a grant of up to $75,000and applying is now easier.... The changes include: extending the closing date until December 2020. requiring more than 50% of business income to come from primary production and/or production of goods from your produce (eg wine). extending the timeframe for reaching the 50% income threshold from three to eight years for primary producers with long lead times. allowing the forestry industry to demonstrate meeting 50% income threshold when trees are harvested. removing the $100,000 off-farm income threshold (noting you will still need to demonstrate that you earn at least 50% of your income from primary production) removing the requirement to be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST). These changes will make it easier for you to access critical support to meet immediate needs not covered under existing insurance policies. Part of the NSW Government’s $140 million Bushfire Industry Recovery Package, the Supply Chain Support Grants are available to bushfire-affected producers and businesses in the apiculture, aquaculture, dairy, horticulture and viticulture industries to help them meet their short-term recovery needs. 10.01.2022 Natural Disaster Declaration - NSW Storms & Floods Following the storms and floods that occurred across the south of the state from 5 August 2020 onwards, the NSW and Australian Governments declared that disaster recovery funding is to be made available for affected local government areas. The assistance measures available and provided by the RAA are: ... - Concessional interest rate loans for primary producers and small businesses up to a maximum of $130,000, with interest rates currently set at 0.82% - Concessional interest rate loans for non-profit organisations up to a maximum of $25,000, with interest rates currently set at 0.82% - Transport subsidies for primary producers of up to 50% of the total freight cost to a maximum of $15,000 per farm enterprise, per financial year. Applications for assistance following this event must be received by the RAA on or before 11 February 2021.
