24.01.2022 FIRE SAFETY TIP #05 | Check your BBQ connections, hoses and cylinders before use so your next flame grill doesn't turn into a flaming disaster. For BBQ fire safety tips, visit our website: https://fal.cn/3cfwu.
21.01.2022 FIRE SAFETY TIP #03 | Decorative lights may become very hot so keep away from children and flammable materials such as wrapping paper, decorations or curtains and don’t leave burning candles unattended.
21.01.2022 UPDATE, 18/12; Crews have almost completed taking away all of heavy timber debris and we’ve been advised that they will return in the new year chip the smaller material remaining. Slow down and observe traffic directions as you travel along Brayton Rd between the bottom of the pinch and the fire station over the next few days, while important works are being conducted on clearing the roadside debris. This work will not only address the fire hazard along this important access and egress route, but also reduce the risks of tree fall, flash flooding and motor vehicle accidents by reestablishing the road shoulders and drainage. Many thanks to the Upper Lachlan Council and Coopers Earth Works, great job!

15.01.2022 FIRE SAFETY #08 | Most home fires are caused by cooking left unattended. The risk is real. Remember to keep looking while cooking, and check you've turned off the stove or appliance when you're done. For cooking safety tips, visit us: https://fal.cn/3ckfu
14.01.2022 Thunderstorms are heading our way
14.01.2022 Any type of heating appliance should be plugged straight into a RCD protected wall socket, not a power board and please don’t leave heaters on when you go out or go to bed.
12.01.2022 FIRE SAFETY TIP #04 | Cigarettes can be deadly in more ways than one. House and grass fires are commonly caused by improperly extinguished or tossed cigarettes.... Always discard and extinguish cigarettes in a container made from either metal, glass or ceramic material - like an ash tray. For more fire safety tips, visit us: https://fal.cn/3cdS1. See more

07.01.2022 Never ever use outdoor heaters inside.
07.01.2022 Clean the lint filter every time you go to use your clothes dryer and again, it’s not a good idea to run your dryer while you’re out or asleep.
05.01.2022 This week we’ve posted a number of home fire safety messages from Claude the Cat (hope you liked them). Finally we would remind everyone that in the event of a house fire you and your family (including the cat) have just 3mins before the environment inside the home is not survivable. Please make sure you have working smoke alarms, have an escape plan and close before you doze. Watch the video we’ve linked here to see how simply having a closed bedroom door can increase your chances of survival; https://fb.watch/5OvqWNLity/
