21.01.2022 RETURN TO TENNIS - CURRENT DETAILS We are very happy to announce that as of 8am tomorrow morning (Thursday 22nd October) we can reopen the courts. We have a number of rules we all need to adhere to in order to ensure we maintain a safe environment for all, whilst being able to enjoy getting back out on the courts. The rules we need to follow are below: A maximum of 10 people in total using/accessing the facility/venue at any one time for the use of outdoor tennis court/s on...ly Of the 10 members of the public in the facility at any one time, each grouping of people on court singles or doubles must come from no more than 2 households Booking a court is compulsory. edit: Use the booking link (https://ntcbookings.skedda.com/booking) if you are a member, otherwise call Joe on 0409 55 319 to book a court. Please advise number of players in Notes. Clubs must ensure accurate record keeping of all patrons to enable tracing (contract tracing register) should an outbreak occur. On arrival at courts, read the QR-code (VisitSafe app) on the main gate and enter your details on the form (ignore last field). If your phone can’t read the QR-Code, text containing your name, phone number, email address and arrival time to Joe on 0409 585 319. 1.5 metres social distancing between individuals needs to be maintained at all times Face masks need to be worn at all times by anyone (12 years and older) using/ accessing the facility/venue unless you have a lawful excuse such as a medical condition. While you are doing strenuous physical exercise you do not need to wear a face mask but you must carry one with you which must be worn before and after exercising. Strenuous exercise includes playing tennis The Club room will be closed Only toilets are to be used is necessary via the back door. Strictly no sharing or hiring of equipment Maintain appropriate hygiene practices at all times You can travel up to 25km from your home to our courts, but no further. Tennis court users are urged to download the COVIDSafe app and keep it active. Permitted for tennis activity (no training or competition) Coaches, the designated COVID Marshal/Officer and any support person/s required for an active participant are permitted (and are not included in the 10-person limit). Umpires or spectators are not permitted Looking forward to seeing you all back out having a hit soon!

14.01.2022 Very exciting to hear the announcement today about the impending return to the tennis court! We don't have the details yet to be able to confirm specifics but hope to have that very soon so we can all get back playing tennis. It's been a long time coming and I'm sure we will all be a bit rusty when we get back but can't wait!

09.01.2022 With the changes to guidance on mask wearing coming into effect today please read the rules as they relate to Tennis. From Thursday 23 July 2020, if you live within metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire, you must wear a face covering whenever you leave your home, unless an exception applies. A face covering needs to cover both your nose and mouth. It could be a face mask or shield. The directions of the Victorian Government state:... Participants 12 years and older must wear a face covering, unless an exemption applies. If you are doing strenuous physical exercise you do not need to wear a face covering but you must carry one with you. Strenuous exercise can include playing tennis. Coaches must wear a face covering when travelling to and from a venue and while on court unless the face covering impacts on your ability to deliver instructions or if the activity is strenuous. You must have a face covering on you at all times. 05.01.2022 With today's changes to the Victorian COVID restrictions we have been advised that all tennis clubs are required to suspend their activities and that there is to be no use of or access to tennis courts and/or associated pavilions and/or clubhouses from 6pm Sunday 2 August 2020. Further information can be found through the Department of Health and Human Services: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorias-restriction-levels-co. At Nunawading Tennis Club we will continue to follow the direction of the relevant authorities to help keep our members and the broader community safe. We hope to see you all back on the court as soon as it is safe to do so.

04.01.2022 NEW COVID GUIDELINES FOR NTC We continue to work closely with Tennis Victoria to ensure we are meeting the recommended guidelines for Tennis Clubs in Victoria during the COVID pandemic. Please note the below instructions which we must adhere to: * Only singles allowed by default. Doubles can only be played by 4 members of the same household * No more than 10 players on all courts at any one time (coaches not included in the 10)... * Booking a court is now compulsory.
