25.01.2022 Due to a short turnaround time for the Start of the 2019 Winter Roster - Team Nominations are Now Open for those wanting to get in early - http://nteba.com.au/inde/winter-roster-2019/team-nomination

24.01.2022 Hi All, we understand what everyone is saying and the restrictions and procedures we have to follow seem at times over the top and especially compared to some other sports / activities. In the end we have been given the green light to play competition 8ball and these were the restrictions that were approved by Sport and Rec and Sports Australia (Return to Sport) that have allowed us to do that. We have fought so hard to be able to play, let’s just play pool as best we can and get back to what we love, the restrictions / guidelines will not take that much adjusting to and in the end if you do not wish to play competition 8ball then that is your decision to make. In the end though we hope all players / teams and more come back on board to play and have a social night out with their mates.

24.01.2022 World 8Ball Rules (2 shot) as we all play and have in its current form since 1994 is up for some major changes (Vote) at the WEPF AGM on the 15/08/2020. The new... rules that may replace our 2 shot set would be known as the Supreme Rules. Currently the AEBF have a poll at - https://www.facebook.com/groups/aebflivestream/ if you are a member of that page and would like a say. You can also find out further information on this page - https://aebf.com.au/wepf and a short video clip on the rules at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqUY_dfyj_w Australia has a member association will have a vote - 1 out of 19, See more

24.01.2022 Clarification from the NTEBA. The NTEBA have their own clear rules to follow on a return to 'Competition' Sport (Rosters) and this is determined by Eightball Tasmania who we are Affiliated with and take advice from who in turn they are working with the relative authority on a return to 'Competition' Sport (Rosters) and have a Plan in place for our return to 'Competition'. At no stage have we ever been as a Body (NTEBA) involved in what a 'Private Business' does on playing soc...ial 8Ball or other stand up events they run, in fact even if the State body say we can play 'Competition' 8Ball we will then be governed by the restrictions of the Hotel/Club (their 'Business') if we will be able to play out of their venue (again their 'Business'). Of course as a body we are more than happy to promote your 'Business' in any way if you ask us to and for any reason to get people back through your door and generating income. Hope this has now clarified the situation for the people out there on where the NTEBA sit. Edit, further clarification: This post is for clarification where the NTEBA are on the matter as a body - 1. We are not saying we do not care about Business and the decisions they make, what we are saying it is their decision, and if the post above reads we do not care, it is not meant to read that way, we are always here to offer help if asked and as we stated above. 2. We are not saying other Associations cannot pass on what information they wish to their Hotels/Clubs and Players - It is their decision to do this, this is what the NTEBA do and only for them and their members. 3. We fully support the State 8Ball in and when we can return to 'Competition sport play (Organised roster sport) and in turn consultation with OUR venues (NTEBA Venues only). . See more

21.01.2022 Eightball Tasmania have been busy in the background working with Tasmania Sport and Recreation (Tasmanian Government) on what will be required for - 1. The Stat...e Body to resume at some stage. (No confirmed date at this stage, we would like to run Open, Womens and Masters Singles titles) 2. Member Associations of Eightball Tasmania for competition play. We have been advised that the main body and our member association will all need a COVID-19 Safety Plan and the plan to be approved to return to a competition basis in the future. We hope to have a model Safety COVID-19 Plan distributed in the next week to our members to recommend you will adopt. It will be up to each Association on what they may decide to do with the plan, but will give our members some guidance. Reminder to member associations we would assume you will also need to work closely with your venues on rules when and if you return to a competition basis - Thank you Tony for your help in putting this together so far. 21.01.2022 Just a small clarification to date: By now I would think most people know of the Premiers latest press release this afternoon and the lifting of 8Ball for venu...es. Please Note 8Ball in venues is not fully finalised as yet and the final requirements / restrictions will not be known until Friday 28/08. While competition 8ball is not formally mentioned As the governing body for our eight member associations and players, we hope we are included in this return to a sport. Lets see what the next week brings and where we are all at, but what great news on the horizon this is. Once we get the GREEN LIGHT to start competition WE will forward this to all Associations

09.01.2022 Hi All - Hope you and your loved ones are all staying safe. Not much to report and no doubt you guys know as much as we do, but it looks like it will be any where from 4 - 8 weeks even before we are close to some restrictions lifted. We have no real plans at this stage as we have no firm date but it is looking more likely the Winter Roster 2020 may not get off the ground and we will go straight into the Summer 2020/21 Roster - We will still have some events to help all our Pubs and Clubs where we can run events once the restrictions are lifted. Stay at Home Save Lives and the more we do this the quicker we will get back to a normality and the sport we love.

07.01.2022 It is a little annoying we are not back to competition as yet, we are ready to go and was hoping to start early August for a quick dash to the Summer Roster 2020/21 but are still waiting for the all clear, we have a working return to spot plan approved by our Governing body, we will probably release something similar to attached for teams to do as well, plus extra information and any rules that Hotels and Clubs have in place - In the meantime stay patient and look after yourself / family and mental health as no doubt it is all taking a drain on us all, especially not getting back to a sport we love and for our well being.
