03.01.2022 If we want our kids to come to us with safety concerns, we need to know how to listen without minimizing or trying to fix their feelings. We often do this unint...entionally because we are uncomfortable with distress and want to be helpful. But it can be invalidating. We love this quote from Janet Lansbury who suggests that we offer kids (and other adults too!) an open, accepting space. #emotionalsafety #safestrongkids #kidpowerco #listen #safetyfirst #fullcirclesafety #createspace
