21.01.2022 We LOVE creating new play spaces for Territory kids. We've just finished a new swing set to the existing playgound at Garamanak Park in Lyons. Did you know that swinging is more than just fun? Swings help children develop gross motor skills. Pushing other swingers, pumping legs to gain height, jumping on and out of swings all aid with balance, movement and coordination skills. P.s. Take your basketball when you visit the park as there's also a new half court to keep the k...ids (and us adults!) active. City of Darwin Lyons Community Lyons Community Centre

19.01.2022 That's not a drill, THIS is a drill! We drill all our holes to a minimum of 1000mm x 450mm for shade sails. For waterproof shades the hole sizes need to be larger with the depth varying depending on the size of the structure. The footings and engineering of your shade structure are important. Our price includes Self Certified Engineered drawings, Building Permit and Certification. Our Self-Certifier number with NT Government Building Board is 23929SC. All shade structures more than 30 square metres need building approval or an approved self-certifying manufacturer. You can find out more about building regulations for shade structures here: https://nt.gov.au//building-a-garden-shed-carport,-fence-o

14.01.2022 Meet owners Chris and Michelle, with their boys Tiger and Leo! All born in Darwin, they love looking after, and having a chat to, Territorians. Michelle combines her past career as a primary school teacher, with her love for creative design to create play spaces which empower children’s physical, social and cognitive development. 14.01.2022 Choosing the perfect colour combinations is always difficult! We're in the office today helping a client make a decision about the colour of two shade sails over their backyard pool...we've finally all agreed that these colours will be lovely: Rainforest Green + Olive Green matched with dark green binding and Pale Eucalypt posts. What do you think? (Be kind!)

14.01.2022 We love creating beautiful, safe and fun play spaces for Territory kids! This is the new playground we created at Northcrest Darwin for the Halikos Group. Thanks to Monotec Shade Cloths by Pro-Knit Industries for creating this gorgeous video, showcasing the shade sails, play equipment, rubber soft fall and astroturf we built and installed. Check out some of our other past jobs here: www.ntshade.com.au/portfolio

14.01.2022 We hope the kids enjoy the new softfall rubber at Darwin Sailing Club's playground as much as we enjoyed pouring it! We are proud to have the expertise and skills to use a technique that allows for 'wet joins' between each different colour of rubber softfall. This means that the joins are sealed together from the outset, decreasing the chance of splitting in the future. The playground is now open - just in time for a beer by the water over the weekend. See you there! http...s://www.ntshade.com.au//play-equipment-and-rubber-sof/ #playgrounds #kidsfun

12.01.2022 Does your playground and shade look like this? Give us a call, we'd love to talk through how we can help. You might just need a new shade sail, perhaps some softfall rubber or shiny new play equipment. Have a browse of the play spaces and shades we've created all over the Northern Territory: www.ntshade.com.au/portfolio

11.01.2022 The new grass is looking awesome

10.01.2022 Guess where we have installed this new playground? Hint: Dads tend to spend a lot of time here!

10.01.2022 Stew’s tip for anyone looking to install a shade sail: Go for it! Shade will cool your house and save you money on power. Great for your hip pocket and the environment . When he's not making shades or installing playgrounds, Stew loves 'drifting' in his beloved Gemini. Don't know what drifting is? Click here to find out: https://www.ntshade.com.au/meet-the-team/

09.01.2022 Do you have an awkward space that needs shade? Or an awkward..ahem...neighbour that needs a screen? ALL our shades are custom-made, so we can work with you to create the shape you need. No problem! Contact us to chat about your options: https://www.ntshade.com.au/

09.01.2022 Don't ya just wish this was still the case? We LOVE creating amazing play spaces that entice kids outside and off screens - but at the end of the day, all you need is a hill hoist, a brother and a blue heeler .

09.01.2022 NT Shade is pleased to be hosting this weeks Run/Walk... See you tomorrow everyone :-)

08.01.2022 Meet one of fabulous team, Matt Goodfellow! Matt has lived in Darwin for 7 drys and 8 wets and loves the fishing and camping - in fact his favourite thing to do in the NT is camp by the water at the boss’s shack! Matt is a carpenter by trade and his favourite part of the job is travelling out bush to work in remote places. Everyday is different, but each day always begins with a coffee and ends in a beer, smiles Matt. ... Read more about Matt and meet the rest of the NT Shade team here: www.ntshade.com.au/meet-the-team/

04.01.2022 We're super proud to give you a sneak peak at a job our team have been working on the last few weeks at Centralian Middle School! Complete with a 6 metre high Maxite climbing net, exercise equipment, swings, running tracks and 300 square metres of gorgeous rubber soft fall made from Rosehill TPV from Surface Designs. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and look foward to young people from Alice Springs, Northern Territory enjoying their new space.

02.01.2022 It's a month today to the kick off of the Sydney to Hobart - do you think we should enter!? Surely a month is enough time to train! We've been debating which family member should be captain - happy to hear your input! Here's what we're thinking: Tiger = Captain (after winning Junior Trainee of the Year at Darwin Sailing Club we think he's the obvious choice) Leo = Navigator (as Leo is always confident which way he's heading!)... Michelle = Foredeck (we need someone who can work the spinnaker) Trimmer = Chris (because that's all that's left!) Happy Sailing!
