22.01.2022 Well its just about time. First track day is this Saturday and I can't wait. Gave the nugget a cut and polish last night and changed the coolant, brake fluid and clutch fluid this morning. Also fitted a spoiler that I picked up from pick-a-part for $20. ... Will give updates on how I go on Saturday. Until then.

21.01.2022 So what's been happening lately? After reading the regulations for the Nationals I realised that the wheels i have are actually too big for the series. Largest diameter allowed is 157. Not to worry as I have already found and had powder coating done on another set of wheels (156) and I'm properly stoked with the result. Cost the same as the others but weigh a whole lot less. There is a little bit of fiddling around to get them to fit but hey. No complaints. Also fitted a ...new steering wheel, gear knob, shifter boot and a set of pedders sports rider springs. Did bring it down a little bit but not too much. Will be getting some track tyres on soon and also will be getting a set of 17s that I have already ordered for street driving. Well take care all. 21.01.2022 Just a quick update. Picked up a carbon barrel air filter recently and fitted with a cold air intake pipe from behind the front bar. Sounds nice under full throttle. Also picked up a strut brace on marketplace from a cc lancer for $70. Re-drilled a few mounting holes and bolted it up. Just waiting on the nolethane bushes for the sway bar and will be all done at the front end. Now on the lookout for a rear sway bar. If anyone knows of a FTO being wrecked around Melbourne let me know. Have a great weekend everyone. Till next time.

14.01.2022 Well that was a long day. Starting with a 3:30 wake up before a 3 hour drive to get to winton by 7. Managed to forget my shoes as I decided to drive up in thongs. So off to Target in Banella for a $20 pair of slip on shoes. Best lap in first session was a 1:57.9 and finishing off the day with my last lap being a 1:54.5. What a fun track and a great group to hang out with. Thanks #nuggetnationals

10.01.2022 Couple of videos of the combo daily taking over track duties at Broadford last month. Looking forward to the mirage getting back on track though. Was a great weekend still thanks to #nuggetnationals.

05.01.2022 Hey, that's not the mirage. Been a while between drinks but hey. That's life isn't it. Haven't been sitting idol though. Last time I was at the track with the mirage a problem arose and it doesn't like any hard acceleration (which is great for a track car) and I've been trying to sort it out since late December. So since the nugget isn't playing ball at the moment, and I had a nugget event booked. I thought "why not take the van". And boy am I glad I did. Have done two ses...sions at Broadford so far and my times are going down in each session. Plus the positive feedback from everyone here has been great. 05.01.2022 Just working on the nugget while thinking about Saturday and how everything went. Was a great day and I can't wait to be on the track again with #nuggetnationals in the new year. 02.01.2022 Hi all, It's been a while between drinks and sorry about the delays on updates. Just received a confirmation that I am booked in for my first hillclimb event at Bryant Park aka Haunted Hills on the 28th of November. Over the moon as I was wondering if there was going to be any chance of getting some track time at all this year. So I have a few small things to iron out on my nugget but not much. I have fitted my new road wheels to the car and have the track tyres on the track rims now. Just need to do a bit of guard rolling, new front brake pads and fluid and a coolant flush. Anyway, take care all.
