18.01.2022 Today we have Lomo saltado one of the most traditional dishes of Peruvian cuisine. This stir fry combined strips of steak , tomatoes , red onion ,fresh yellow chilli , soy sauce , red wine vinegar and coriander . This dish originated as part of the fusion between the Chinese and Peruvian cuisine. Last time we served it in sandwich but this time we have done the traditional way , served with french fries and rice . Who whats to try it ?

17.01.2022 ARROZ TAPADO A Peruvian dish consisting of a three layers. The bottom layer of rice (I used brown rice ), the second layer of protein ground beef with onions , garlic , panca and yellow chillies, black olives , raisins , hard boiled egg and parsley. The top layer of rice again. This is a wonderful hearty , tasty dish that is filling It is a quick-fix dish that is fairly easy to make. Personally, I like to make this dish juicy. I desire a moister, wet texture. This usuall...y makes wonderful leftover you can use it to stuff papas rellenas , empanadas, pastel de choclo. . RECIPE * cup vegetable oil * 1 red onion, finely chopped * 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped or minced * 1 tbs of tomato paste or ají panca paste * 1 Tbs of yellow chilli (*) * 1/2 cup of red wine (*) * 500 gr of ground beef * 1 tsp of cumin * 1 tbs oregano * 1/2 cup raisins1/2 cup black olives, sliced * 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped * 2 tbs parsley, chopped * Salt, pepper . METHOD 1. Heat the oil in a pan over high heat, and sauté the onion until soft ( about 5 min )add the garlic. When the onion is soft and translucent, add tomato paste or ají panca and yellow chilli (optional)stir for a few minutes . 2. Add the oregano and cumin cook for a few more minutes . 3. Add the ground beef. Brown it and then add the red wine and wait until evaporates. Keep cooking the mince for about 10 minutes more over medium-low heat, stirring every now and then. If the mixture looks dry, add some water to make it juicy, about cup. 4. Season with salt and pepper and cook for When ready, add raisins, black olives, hard-boiled eggs, and parsley. Turn off the heat. 5. Have cooked rice ready and warm. 6. In the bottom of an oiled ramekin, make a layer of rice, pressing with a spoon. Over this make a layer of ground beef, and cover with more rice. Put a plate over the ramekin and turn up-side-down. Take out the ramekin and you will have arroz tapado! 7. Garnish with parsley leaves and serve with a fried egg. See more

The Bloody Mary , making morning drinking socially acceptable since 1921, plus Bloody Mary count as a vegetable right ? . . Bloody Mary my way .... . 1 1/2 ounces of vodka ( about 2 fingers high ) 1 tsp of worcestershire sauce (salsa inglesa) 1/2 lime juice Tabasco to taste ( I like it extra bloody) Pepper to taste 4 ounces of tomato juice (The tomato juice is the base of your cocktail, so choose a good one! I like v8 ) . Garnish . Celery stick bacon salt ( check my stories to get the recipe ) Candid bacon Green olives Rim of lime . 1. Pour the bacon salt onto a small plate, run a lime wedge around the outside rim and roll the wet edge of the highball glass with the bacon salt. 2. Fill the glasses with ice, Add the vodka , Worcestershire Sauce, Tabasco, lime juice and pepper , the pour the tomato juice and Stir gently.
