24.01.2022 In Melbourne, during the 1880s, people experienced an astounding land boom. Towards the end of the boom land passed hands rapidly and auctioneers vied with each other to attract local speculators, hence the amazing posters for subdivisions all over Melbourne. Richard from Restored Vintage Images has brought some 420 of the posters back to life on his website, https://restoredvintageimages.com.au/ At the market, Richard brings a selection of local posters, many from Box Hill, Mitcham and Blackburn. Sadly there are few from Nunawading. When we return you can find the posters at the market just inside the main doors at the Civic Centre.
