25.01.2022 I LOVE working out at the studio ... I also LOVE playing in the outdoors. BUT the studio work is so important for postnatal mums to build a solid foundation, work on some rehab post pregnancy work, strengthen you up, prepare you for the weird ‘mum moves’ n awkward positions you find yourself in ... but it means you can get back to do what you love the most, quicker and reducing chances of injury #winwin #weneedboth

I’m totally impartial - hubby NSW, kids Qld’ers, me kiwi)... but I’m too busy dreaming of the weekend adventures When it comes to sport and outdoor adventures, it’s pretty much impossible for me to say ‘no’ to the kids... they know my weakness... 17.01.2022 Why are kids so fit and full of energy (well lots of reasons).. but if you ever watch them play, they pretty much just run shuttles.. all day.. non stop! No wonder they are fast! But you can totally take a leaf from thier book. Play more. Play tiggy/tag. Kick the ball. It’s often waaay more fun than a ‘workout’ too, but you get the same benefits .. you can even do it in a dress You can even do it with babies by just crawling about or rolling balls ... What is your fav game/activity with the kids?

16.01.2022 Have you rediscovered an old passion or maybe even a new hobby from your kids?? It was my sons birthday last week and I got him a skate board. He is totally killing it ... and now I want my own!! Another good friend of mine.. her kids got roller skates and in-line blades, so Mumma got some skates too!!... Look out for us rad mums decked out with knee pads! Lol Tell me what you would live to try or your kids have inspired you to do

15.01.2022 Is your baby due for a sleep? ... yay perfect time to start a workout. Babies loved being in your tummy and the gentle movement... so the gentle movement of exercise is similar to being back in your tummy and often relaxes them ... dancing with them in your arms, using pram or using a carrier is a great combo for me time (exercise) and sleep time #multitasking .. even still works at times for my 3 year old

14.01.2022 Sweaty Betty thought a home workout without air con today would be a fun idea This pic was only 5min in! Do you suddenly feel like you got really unfit and workouts are hard? If you live in FNQ it’s probably just the heat! You didn’t loose fitness, the heat changes things a lot! Take longer breaks, drink more water in the hours leading up to your workout, get your breath back again, switch cardio for weights ... or get that air con pumping

13.01.2022 LOL.. I was literally joking with this about my own Mum yesterday. She has always thought the sun shone out of all her kids... and she constantly tells us we are awesome. Totally bias, but best cheer leader ever!! ... and you know what... I think exactly the same about my own children. They are my absolute fav people in the entire world #kids areawesome

09.01.2022 I couldn't help but watch the whole thing! Fascinating!! C-section birth is major abdominal surgery. It does take longer to heal that a straight forward vaginal birth... because look at all those layers that need to heal. If you are thinking about getting back into exercise after c-section birth, there is no harm in waiting a little longer (in fact there are loads of great benefits). At least 10 weeks before doing anything more than walking. And when you do get the 'green light' to go, its gradual postnatal safe exercise ... not jumping back into all the things you did pre-pregnancy ;)

09.01.2022 I love these slow snuggly starts to the morning as we ponder the world thru 3 year old eyes. Miss A new line to me every morning is ‘you know what mum? This is going to be the best day ever!’ I have no plans today .. but this sounds perfect to me

06.01.2022 I have this excited feeling about my youngest not being a ‘baby’ any more but also sadness those little baby days are gone. We have new opportunities, new daily rhythms which is a great time to pop your head up and breathe and think... oh a bit more time to find ME again (because his messy ahd hazy are those survival days if early parenting!!) 06.01.2022 Ok busy Mums... what is the best time of day to exercise?? There is a scientific answer but also a different logical answer. Confused? Want to know more? Technically the best time to workout is first thing in the morning and before you eat. This fires up your metabolism for the day and also helps with boosting your mood so that you can approach your whole day with a bit more sanity (even just 5mins of basic movement helps this, but if you can pump a full session out then ...go for it). Plus I love mums getting it done in the morning because 'life' always happens and it is really easy to keep putting it off, putting it off... then next minute its 9pm and the last thing you feel like doing is exercising. And if you do exercise late, this does affect your ability to fall asleep and the quality of your sleep. But the logical answer is just do it whenever it fits in. If there is any thing I have learn while being a parent for the last 8 years of 3 children in, is that our daily rhythms changes regularly with our children's ages and development. You don't have to be rigid. What worked then, doesn't mean it will work now. So if doing it first thing in the morning is too stressful, you don't have to do it that way! Work with your family and allow flexibility, particularly if you have young children. Plan it and figure out what will work best for your family situation (in the current time) and then put it into action Hit the thumbs up button if you like to exercise first thing in the morning or hit the heart if you need more flexibility for your fam G

05.01.2022 I’m going to eat healthier I’m going to exercise more New Years resolutions are ‘hopes’. Nice things to say and think about, but they won’t happen. ... They don’t work unless you take ownership of how you will make these happen, change your habits, stop putting yourself last and surround yourself with amazing people who ooze the vibes you want.
