24.01.2022 NUS Queensland extends its warm solidarity to the students and staff of James Cook University who should stand as a real example for university students around the country. The cutting of over thirty staff at JCU Cairns and Townsville campuses is not a localized phenomenon but part of a general trend across the entire higher education sector, so there's no reason why we shouldn't generalize this response! Witness here how our movement needs to challenge staff cuts and other a...ttacks on our education - not by simply sitting down and negotiating with the administration, who never bargain in good faith (and in this instance have gone to particular thuggish lengths to silence any student and staff dissent) but by mobilizing big protests and crashing Vice-Chancellors' fancy press conferences! Great to see an uncomfortable looking Matt Canavan at the end of the video here too ;) See more

16.01.2022 Very pleased to announce that Senator Richard Di Natale from The Australian Greens has accepted our invitation to speak at the rally! Stay tuned to the event pa...ge for more announcements. And most importantly, share this event with your mates and make sure they come! It's time to put the issue of Adani back in the spotlight, and put the federal and the QLD state governments on notice that we're not going to stop fighting until this mine is a dead duck. See more

10.01.2022 Thanks to all you legends who braved the sweltering Brisbane sun today to join our protest against the Adani mine! Looks like Sydney also had a good showing today too Palaszczuk and Turnbull, this issue is not going away, and we’re not gonna stop until all the planned mines in the Galilee Basin are a dead letter! Many thanks to our speakers, and to all the other organisations who came long. Finally, please remember to like our Facebook page to hear about our next actions, at http://www.facebook.com/nusqld (And keep all those photos coming in!)
