12.01.2022 5 Tips for looking after your lawns and gardens this winter: 1. Remove weeds which may be growing through your lawn, using weed spray or hand- pulling them out,... as their seeds will often spread if it is windy, resulting in more weeds. 2. Towards the end of winter is the best time to fertilise your lawn, so it will be healthy in Spring. (It is also advisable to fertilise during May) 3. Increase mowing heights, so the lawn has more green leaf to maximise the time it is able to photosynthesise. 4. Decrease watering as air and soil temperatures are decreasing. 5.
