22.01.2022 Today is World Mental Health Day. One of the things I’ve started doing is using the free Smiling Mind app on a daily basis. I put a 4-minute breathing or positi...ve thinking meditation on for my kids when we’re driving to school. And during the day when I’m alone I choose an adults one for myself. It’s a tiny pocket of self-care and a way to reset my brain/emotions if I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Smiling Mind + regular exercise + time with family or friends + decent sleep + cuddles with my dog + writing in a gratitude journal + family movie nights +binge-watching the ridiculousness that is Emily in Paris is how I look after my mental health. 10.01.2022 Much like sleep, rest has positive outcomes for our physical, mental, and emotional health. By relaxing muscles and quieting the brain, rest can help restore a sense of calm. Rest can also pave the way to a better night’s sleep. How do you engage in restful behaviour?
03.01.2022 Veggies aren't just for dinner! Saute whatever you have in your fridge in extra virgin olive oil - here I have mushrooms (not technically a vegetable I know but... SO nutritious in a unique way), asparagus, spinach & zucchini. In a separate pan fry or poach your eggs and toast a slice or two of wholemeal sourdough. Crumble a little goat or sheep feta over the veggies. Top the toast with avocado, top with the veggies and the eggs. Season and add chilli if you like (i do!). #awesomebreakfast See more

A mental restart can be different for everyone, it could mean treating yourself t...o something nice, taking a break from technology or reconnecting with nature. The most important thing to remember is you are allowed to take a break when things become too much or you feel overwhelmed. Hit the restart button this long weekend.
