I made your bread into mini muffins and added a bit of maple syrup because the Canadian in me said it was essential (and my sweet tooth backed her up!)

20.01.2022 This past weekend I was back in my happy place - our local market here on the GC! I got so many yummy items (many not pictured here because #jetlagbrain ) but by far the stand outs have to be the stone fruit! Omg you dont even understand how sweet, juicy and delicious these peaches, nectarines & mangos are! Im in fruit heaven The rest of the haul is mainly for our dinners this week which are all from the JBT Program (because super nourishment is the name of the game!) - were having shitaake mushroom & chicken broth with bok choy, veggie loaded dahl, super green coconut thai soup and salt & pepper tofu with broccolini! Tell me that doesnt excite you. I dare you!



19.01.2022 Im a sucker for all things Hot Cross Bun! Last weekend I made the healthy version from our JBT Program (let me know if you want the recipe!), today I bought sourdough HCBs from @burleigh_baker and I even made a HCB smoothie this morning! (Recipe coming tomorrow ) And now Im excited about these little treats from @nadiaeves I may overdose on HCBs this weekend...but Im ok with that

18.01.2022 Some great take-aways in this article. Basically...lets all just move to the Med! Haha! If thats not possible though, at least lets take cues from La Dolce Vita by savouring & enjoying every meal, eating seasonally and considering how each food makes us feel.

16.01.2022 Over the weekend me and some of my fellow Gratitude Gangsters had the opportunity to attend a self development workshop around coaching led by the incredible @scottharris.au Im definitely still reflecting and digesting it all, but one thing I know for certain is that the insights & skills Ive learned will definitely make me a better leader and more capable in supporting my team to help as many people as they possibly can! Because isnt that the goal? How do you grow without supporting others to achieve their own growth & goals? My Nutrition Mission is really just starting but I can already see the reach & impact its going to have!

16.01.2022 Where do you stand on the Dairy Debate? Dairy is a staple in many diets but there is so much conflicting information in regards to how beneficial it really is. 5 years ago I gave up milk and immediately my life-long allergy symptoms disappeared. So for me it was a no-brainer. I still consume some organic yogurt and cheese with no negative side affects. It really comes down to the individual! If you DO consume dairy, its so important to make sure its organic in order to avoid nasty hormones & antibiotics that are fed to the Id be udderly pleased if youd share your opinion!

15.01.2022 I think this is a great reminder for so many of us. Its easy to get caught up in the stress or drama of your current situations, leaving you feeling depressed and unhappy. When the now gets to be too much, remember that this is a stop on the journey, not the final destination. Life has a way of working out for you so take a deep breath, count to 10 and continue along. Theres so much more to come!

15.01.2022 Im about to embark on a weekend of self development focusing on coaching & leadership skills with the incredible @scottharris.au Honestly Im slightly freaking out. I suppose its the fear of the unknown and the fact that I will be totally outside my comfort zone, but I know thats the key to growth, so Im jumping in with both feet! Im definitely feeling grateful that some of my fellow Gratitude Gangsters will be along for the ride! No doubt this will be an eye opening experience

14.01.2022 Veganlicious! Who says vegan food is bland and boring? That’s what I use to think before I gave it a go over a year ago. But I definitely found out very quickly that that was false. Vegan meals are actually packed with so much flavour, not to mention a vast array of nutrients. I’m not fully vegan by any means but I do make a few meals this way every week and what I’ve found is that my creativity in the kitchen has increased and so has my willingness to experiment. Do you make vegan meals in your home? What’s your fav dish?

14.01.2022 *DISCLAIMER* I do NOT advocate popping pills in place of a nourishing, whole food diet! If youre anything like me then food & health is a massive focus! So is my life and sometimes it gets super busy & chaotic and I dont get the insane amount of photonutrients (ie alllll the goodies in fruit & veg) that my body needs EVERY single day! And in that case, a natural, GMO-free, pesticide-free supplement is essential! Why wouldnt I choose to flood my body with high quality nutrition that boosts my vitamin & antioxidant levels?! Why wouldnt I have a nutrient insurance policy?! Im not freakin perfect! I cant eat an entire rainbow every damn day! Can you?!

14.01.2022 Thats the face of someone high on endorphins! They say exercise is addictive, and I totally agree! When you exercise neurotransmitters are triggered, such as endorphins, seratonin, dopamine & glutamate which have incredible effects on your mood! Thats what I aim to move my body every day. Research shows a little each day has increased health benefits over a lot once or twice a week. What exercise are you doing today?!

Its amazing the amount of flavour you can create using herbs & spices and fresh produce, rather than having to rely on store bought sauces and marinades which can be full of nasties and heaps of sugar (yes, even the savoury ones). 07.01.2022 Thank you so much to everyone who contacted me about yesterdays self induced vomiting episode! I love social media for so many reasons but being able to connect with other mummas going through the same things is definitely one of my top reasons! This little dude keeps me on my toes and constantly asking how I can do things better. And knowing I have such a huge, caring network of friends for support makes that question a heck of a lot easier to answer!

07.01.2022 SUGAR! Is it really the devil? The short answer is yes We all know sugar causes weight gain...but do you know why? Fructose, one of the most common forms of sugar, is broken down in the liver and NOT used as energy, therefore we eat more of it than we need because were not actually getting anything useful out of it. When theres too much fructose in the body, our liver freaks out and stores it as fat...and nobody wants that! And thats not even the biggest issue! Sugar wreaks havoc on our hormones & appetite as well, but Ill save that for another post What are your best tips for avoiding sugar?! Share with us below!

06.01.2022 Over the years, with the low carb, high protein craze, grains have gotten a really bad rep. Bread and pasta are seen as taboo or naughty treats which I think is a real shame. Ill be honest though and say for years I had that very same mentality. Fortunately, for my healths sake, Ive learned about all the incredible benefits of whole grains. When we eat UNREFINED grains like oats, wheat, barley, millet and farro, our body benefits from all the B vitamins, protein and fi...bre that give us energy, facilitate healthy digestion and even support weight management. 06.01.2022 The EXTRA long weekend is nearly here!! Wooohooo! Im really looking forward to meeting up with friends & family and enjoying some yummy food, good drinks and happy times! This is one of my go-to salad recipes for big get togethers and its always a hit! I love using quinoa as a salad base because this ancient seed is not only super nutritious (think fibre, B vitamins, complete protein and many minerals!) but so versatile and it has a great texture!
