25.01.2022 Putting a small amount of extra effort into planning meals can save you a whoooole lot of time!! We made a double batch of our favourite lentil and kidney bean pasta sauce, half of which has gone into glass containers into the freezer. A tip we love is to use a food processor to chop all of your onion, celery and carrot (and other veggies!) in a pinch for your large batch sauces. The time it takes to wash the processor out is far less than hand chopping all of those ingredients! 24.01.2022 New blog post "Before you buy that coffee" (check link below ). I love the smell and taste of a good cappuccino, its amazing! But unfortunately I dont have a very active CYP1A2 gene - meaning Im a slow caffeine metaboliser . I cant drink a coffee any later than 9am otherwise I struggle to fall asleep And if Im having a stressful day, drinking coffee just makes it worse and causes my stress to turn into panic ... But despite this, I still love the occasional cuppa (but before 9am and on non-stressful days of course ) Does anyone have similar experiences with coffee or caffeine? Did you know that if youre a slow or fast caffeine metaboliser, coffee/caffeine can have different health impacts on your body? Herbs and spices not only add beautiful fragrance, colour, and flavour to food but they can all also up the anti-inflammatory power of your meal! A study looking at 553 young Italians showed that slow caffeine metabolisers had a higher risk of high blood-pressure. Its been a long (long) while since Ive posted and part of it is because of this beautiful bump (the nausea in the first 3 months, tiredness, and a shifting in priorities) but also because the past 6 months have been one of my most busiest with the juggling of work and finishing my Masters in Public Health . . Time has flown and I cant believe Im already 30 weeks pregnant !! Cant wait to be a Mamma and been getting ready for babys ar...rival by eating well (most of the time ) and doing my Pilates classes and pelvic floor exercises @lifereadyphysiocbd with amazing Needra, Natalie, and Caitlin - thank you beautiful ladies !! . @nutritionsustain is still open for consultations but unfortunately there are no more free spots available before I head off for maternity leave in a few weeks time. It’s been a long (long) while since I’ve posted and part of it is because of this beautiful bump (the nausea in the first 3 months, tiredness, and a shifting in priorities) but also because the past 6 months have been one of my most busiest with the juggling of work and finishing my Masters in Public Health . . Time has flown and I can’t believe I’m already 30 weeks pregnant !! Can’t wait to be a Mamma and been getting ready for baby’s ar...rival by eating well (most of the time ) and doing my Pilates classes and pelvic floor exercises @lifereadyphysiocbd with amazing Needra, Natalie, and Caitlin - thank you beautiful ladies !! . @nutritionsustain is still open for consultations but unfortunately there are no more free spots available before I head off for maternity leave in a few weeks time. We only have a very small handful of spots available for current clients who need to catch us before we close - you know who you are . . So many mixed feelings: I’m sooooo excited for this next chapter but sad saying goodbye to all the beautiful souls that I’ve had the privilege to work with . You wonderful people have inspired me so much and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be part of your health journey !! .
