21.01.2022 Learn to love your greens as much as this fella does

20.01.2022 Hope everyone packed their lunch today Goals for tomorrow: 1 > Have a little treat and DO NOT feel guilty about it. Allowing yourself to eat all foods but having the less nutritious ones only in moderation is so important for your relationship with food. Honour a craving, feel happy and move on. Don’t dwell! 2 > Aim for no packaged food/snacks.. this could mean fresh fruit & veggies, home made museli bars or buying a big bag of nuts and putting a serve into Tupper...ware rather than buying individually packaged portions. I’ll be baking a banana bread for snacks tonight and will post the recipe! Good luck

18.01.2022 Day two of 'two goals for tomorrow'.. did anyone manage to get their water and veggies done today? Goals for tomorrow: 1--> Include omega-3 in one meal (eg. fish, walnuts, chia seeds, olive oil.. have a google and try something new.)... 2--> Include a whole-grain, unprocessed carbohydrate in one meal. (eg. quinoa, rolled oats, wild rice, barley - some of these now come in microwave sachets, in the rice aisle.) An example to get these both done: pan fried or grilled fish on a bed of steamed quinoa, season both as you please and add a veg or two! High fibre, slow burning, good fats, brain power and a full tummy.. what more could you want?

16.01.2022 As mentioned earlier today, here's my favourite banana bread recipe! A perfect snack to curb the 3pm cravings. This bread is a healthier option, but still has the filling and satisfying effect that some healthy versions lack. Ingredients: - 2 eggs - 1/2 cup olive oil - 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup... - 1/4 cup milk or Greek yogurt - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 medium bananas) - 1 3/4 cups wholemeal flour - teaspoon ground cinnamon optional - 1 teaspoon baking soda - teaspoon salt Method: - Pre-heat oven to 160 C. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and set aside. - In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Set aside. - In a large bowl, beat eggs, oil, honey, milk and vanilla for 2 minutes. Stir in the bananas & flour mixture. - Pour batter into greased pan, sprinkle with some more cinnamon, raw sugar, or banana slices (optional) - Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes. (GimmeDelicious recipe)

12.01.2022 I think small things like this are really valuable when trying to stay consistent with good nutrition. Do your best and if you mess it up, don’t shut down and let it get to you.. just laugh it off, re-invent the original plan and move on! My client has done exactly that

11.01.2022 Achieving two small health goals a day can have a HUGE impact on your overall health, so let's try it for a week. Goals for tomorrow: --> Drink EIGHT cups of water. --> Eat FIVE different types of vegetable (hint: salad makes this easy..)... I'll post two goals each day (and complete them) for the next week and let's see if we feel a difference!

05.01.2022 Patience does not mean doing nothing, it means doing all that you can, even without getting any results. Have a good attitude while waiting for things to happen, that way you won't look back and feel your time was wasted. Commit to and enjoy your health journey and let the changes happen when they happen!

02.01.2022 Some tricks to switch your mindset from nay to yay! Have a read because I think we’ve all been that customer at the bar..

02.01.2022 First blog post up on my site. The very short history of Eat the World

01.01.2022 Managed to forget to post today’s goals but it seems fitting because today was a very lazy Sunday with not much achieved.. in saying that, one of the most imperative skills for good nutrition is your ability to mess up, accept it and start again! SO tomorrow’s goals: 1 > Eat TWO pieces of fruit. 2 > Eat only home-made/prepared food.... Pack your lunch for work tonight, add a couple of pieces of fruit and you’re done!
