22.01.2022 I ask that you read this atricle and the associated references. In particular the reference to Dr. G Mirkin who also wrote the RICE document in 1978. I have tri...ed to argue against ice for a long while. I am not waiting for some "higher authority"to come along and tell me "...well you do not have to use it..." There are too many Sports Trainers who are reticent to refuse ice to anyone. Why? because the teaching has been to apply ice, to now, almost anything. Please read research and think before applying ice to anything. Ice is so ingrained that you see programs like Master Chef applying ice to a burn. A long acknowledged no no. Step away and look at research and commonsense. See more
