All we know is that they simply LOVE IT!! And cannot wait to see what fun things are in the box every week in class.

We teach the Acrobatic Arts syllabus and are proud that this system of Acrobatics combines technique and safety above anything else. Our students work hard on their skills to gain strength and improve their technique every week. 09.01.2022 Today it gives me a big smile to introduce you to the Milne family. Mum Carla, brought the cutest little girl, Amber to join our NY Dance family 10 years ago, when we the studio was only in it's second year. Amber has progressed from the Tiny Dancers, Sub-Juniors, Juniors and now to Intermediates. She has taken lots of different styles of dance over the years and works hard, is a pleasure in class and always enthusiastic. The Milne family have been great supporters of NY Dan...ce and I'm thrilled that Carla has joined our 'Meet our Families' post with her lovely story. Here is what Carla has to say about Amber's NY Dance journey: "Amber started with the NY Dance family 10 years ago this year. A decision I have never regretted. We came looking for a place where Amber could enjoy music, learn a few moves, make a few friends and not have any pressure about performance. NY Dance provided this and so much more. In the 10 years, inclusiveness has been key, and that extended to Ambers little brother, allowing him to come in and join the class stretching before jazz began. Nothing is ever a problem and everyone is happy to help. To watch the studio grow, from classes in the Bowling club to a space all of their own, has been amazing and the holiday programs are an awesome addition, allowing Amber to try different styles to work out what gives her joy. Dance concerts always bring a lot of excitement but working backstage it also highlights the connection between all the students, and the students with their teachers. Friendships form and stay regardless of change of days/times/classes. As a member of this dance family I am grateful that Natalie’s brain doesn’t rest. Natalie’s keeps thinking of what else she can do for the studio and as a result my daughter has confidence, can dance without pressure of perfection and she can just be her."

05.01.2022 We have fantastic, fun Hip Hop classes for our Junior aged dancers and is a class that your son will love. With age-appropriate song choices and dance moves you can enrol your son or daughter into a Hip Hop class without the worry of inappropriate lyrics or dance moves and with all the great things that come from dancing at NY Dance.

03.01.2022 At NY Dance we know boys and we do 'boys dance' well. We have lots of boys across all age groups from babies to our teens and the one thing we do know is that they love coming to dance and keep returning year after year. NY Dance is a positive place for boys to feel safe about their love of dance, for them to be a part of a bigger friendship group and for them to discover and nurture their love of dance and the Arts. For those boys who may initially be feeling a bit shy to co...me to 'dance class' to start with, we have included some Hip Hop classes on the 2020 timetable that are 'boys only' classes. We want to make sure that these boys feel comfortable in the studio setting so that they may be able to participate fully in other classes perhaps in the future.
