19.01.2022 For our Kimberley mob, here is a very important message to you, it has been written by the Aboriginal Interpreting WA crew, Dee and her team, especially for yo...u mob. Stay home in your community, stay safe from Corona. This is a message from the Police boss and government about a rule for remote communities to help keep that overseas sickness called corona virus (or COVID 19) away from you and keep you all safe. This is proper serious business. Aboriginal and Torres strait islanders are all at high risk of catching Corona, especially old people and people who already have other sickness or trouble with breathing. You can only leave your community for serious family business, school, work, to get food or medicine or in an emergency. If you have to leave your community for this kind important business that is OK but not too much because you can get very sick if you catch the sickness or you could bring that sickness back to your family. Government mob can come in to your community, but only police, teachers, education, medical services and things like community emergency maintenance (power-lines/house/roads), or the trucks bringing in food. NO one can just come in for catch-up or other business. Any other kardiya who wants to come in to see you has to have a letter signed by the police boss. This is a rule to keep that corona virus away, and to keep you mob safe, cos its a bad virus from overseas and can spread easily. This also means everyone needs to stay in WA. And no body can come to WA. Go home, Stay home, stay safe. Police Boss Greg Share this message evrywhere

01.01.2022 These past few weeks have been scary and difficult for many of us. We recognise that the world can feel a bit topsy-turvy right now and we wanted to take a mome...nt to breathe. Box-breathing is a technique used to take slow, deep breaths. It can be done several times throughout the day and helps calm nerves and relieve stress. First, empty your lungs of air. Slowly inhale for 4 counts Hold the breath for a count of 3 Slowly exhale for 4 counts Hold the breath for a count of 3 Repeat the cycle up to 4 times Luke Tribe for ABC Life
