09.01.2022 Deepest sympathy to Shirley, Mark, Angela, Sonia, Daniel, Tim and families on the passing of Joseph Wayne Valente (Duck) on Monday 27th Jan. Duck has been part of the Oaklands Fire Brigade for over 30 years, an active member and always willing to hop on a truck and head to a fire to help others. He was often seen at the fire shed on the weekends, very active with training and has encouraged his boys to be very much a part of our local brigade. We had the honour of presenting Duck with a service award in August last year. He will be missed by all the community, family and friends. RIP mate

08.01.2022 Final total for recycling donated to Megan McPaul is $1973.40 collected in Oaklands and surrounding community. Along with cash donations received. Great effort and I am sure it will be appreciated by the family. Thanks to all who donated cash or cans/bottles.

06.01.2022 Light up Anzac Day 2020. Stand for them at the end of your driveway, gate or road with a candle at dawn and remember them. #lestweforget

04.01.2022 Good Friday 2020 it is different, it is not normal. After drought, fires and now COVID-19 we wonder what next. The rain has come and the best start to a season in a long time. We have all been told to stay home, to be safe and flatten the curve. We hope all our members and community are free of this virus and have a safe Easter break. Whatever you chose to do stay healthy and spare a thought for all in those in the emergency service field who Will work during this break.

03.01.2022 Great to see our committees working together. Fire trucks helping at the Recreation ground getting things ready for the new building.
