18.01.2022 Jacob Eliopoulos signs with Oakleigh Cannons FC Oakleigh Cannons FC has strengthened its defence for 2021 with the signing of 24-year-old Jacob Eliopoulos on a 2 year deal. Standing at 190cm, Eliopoulos joins the club after several seasons with Cypriot giants APOEL Nicosia and is excited to hit the ground running.... ‘’I feel Oakleigh want to push and do well this season and I felt it was a good opportunity for me to be part of a club that wants to push for success,’’ Eliopoulos said. ‘’Chris Taylor mentioned how the team had a really good start to the season before it was cancelled. There’s a really good team there, which is what attracted me to come. ‘’I’ve always liked Oakleigh and I’m looking forward to starting pre-season.’’ The 24-year-old brings a wealth of experience having played alongside some of Europe’s best in the Europa League while playing with APOEL. Oakleigh Cannons FC and its supporters welcome Jacob to the club and cannot wait to see him in action.

01.01.2022 Matt Thurtell Signs With Oakleigh Cannons FC Oakleigh Cannons FC has bolstered its attacking arsenal with the signing of striker Matt Thurtell on a two-year deal. Thurtell is no stranger to football fans in Victoria, nor the big occasions and is excited to get going at the club where he believes success is not far away.... "The club is in a really good position to win trophies and that’s what I want to do," Thurtell said. "The team here is very experienced and success is around the corner. "Another reason why I decided to come is to play in front of players like Joe Guest and Tyson Holmes which definitely attracted me to the club." The 28-year-old joins after spending six seasons with Bentleigh Greens, where he quickly became one of the competition’s top forwards. Oakleigh Cannons FC and its supporters welcome Matt to the club and cannot wait to see him in action in 2021.
