23.01.2022 Oberek prides itself on being Tasmania’s only Polish dance group and we enjoy promoting our Polish culture through the various events Tasmania offers. We are very proud of our own Pani Teresa Grabek, who is involved in the Ten Days on the Island Festival. She is part of a site-based durational sound work called Babel. It is performed live by people who spoke another language or languages before speaking English. "If you understand nothing that is said, you will look for the ...unsaid and it will speak volumes. Our senior group made palms for Palm Sunday while our junior group, combined with polska szkoa, made pisanki and other Easter decorations.
