25.01.2022 Another day another Porsche! This 981 Cayman was a fantastic used purchase by an old client of ours. Having experienced the benefits of PPF on his previous vehicle, (after first getting a stonechip right in the middle of the bonnet after a week of ownership!), he brought the car to us straight away. The car was in fantastic condition, thus making the protection even more important.... After a thorough paint correction, high impact areas were covered in Xpel Paint Protection Film, whilst the rest of the car was coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic coating. 21.01.2022 Subtle tinted PPF on these indicators. The headlights in this Cayman come with the factory black insides. The clear indicators don’t match very well and stand out. Adding a subtle tint helps tie everything together nicely and adds a touch more aggression.

20.01.2022 When the owner of this Cayman S contacted us about the best protection for his new car, after investigating how the car would be used and the maintenance regime, it was determined that a full PPF wrap would provide the best protection and ease of maintenance. Using computer cut templates for a perfect fit, every single panel on the car was wrapped, with edges tucked and folder for a seamless finish. Being a white car, any dirt build up on edges is especially apparent, which i...s why we take the time to modify templates where needed, allowing for an extra degree of invisibility in our PPF installs. The deep red paint enjoyed a tough life, scarred with marks from improper washing, brushes and brooms, and displayed a complete lack of colour depth and clairty. A multi-stage paint correction was performed, levelling the majority of imperfections in the clear coat to reveal a deep red with a high degree of reflectivity.... 13.01.2022 The owner of this car sold it many years ago, and when he saw it up for sale, he decided to buy it back. Unfortunately it was no longer in the pristine condition it once was, so it was brought to Obsession Car Detailing to bring it back up to "Club Spec" Bumper repair and re-paint Boot lid repair and re-paint Stone chip touch up... Having a clear coat, the car wasn't actually faded, but the consistent haze of scratches all over the clear-coat had the effect of dulling the finish, making it look like the saturation had been turned down. We decided to install the rear bootlid as one piece of film, with no seams, seeing as this Model 3 didn't have a spoiler, and the seam visible if using a computer cut template would be would detract from the satin PPF conversion.

Being a fan of CarPro products, the owner elected to go with CarPro's most exclusive coating, C-Quartz Finest Reserve, a hybrid epoxy/ceramic coating designed for extreme durability and chemical resistance.
