21.01.2022 Don't forget about the paddle for the planet happening on June 3rd as part of Port Stephens Naturefest. Shoal Bay SUP will have a number of boards for FREE HIRE to people who have standup paddled before. All we ask is a donation to an approved Marine Conservation Organisation. Shoal Bay SUP us to book one of these boards.

In conjunction with Sea Shepherd we have designed a range of Standup Paddleboards featuring their distinctive Jolly Roger to complement our existing range of boards. 09.01.2022 Another Port Stephens family decided one beautiful Ocean & Harmony paddle board was not enough. Michael bought one of our boards late last year and decided that paddling with someone else is twice as much fun and having to share, well who really likes sharing when it comes to your SUP? Now his wife Penny has one too so they can now both get out on the water together. SUP is a great social activity and I personally prefer paddling with others. 08.01.2022 It was reported today that Mike Baird has 'written to the Federal Government to seek their approval to roll out a 6 month trial of shark nets on the North Coast.' This video by Madison Stewart hits the point why shark nets don't work. At best they give swimmers a false sense of security. At worst they catch other marine animals, dolphins turtles which then attract sharks to the beaches to feed on this bycatch. When we enter the water we enter the sharks domain. We should accept the very small risk as we do when we undertake other activities. #apexharmony #seashepherd #nosharknets
