09.01.2022 What is this polar bear doing on top of a cliff? Like whales, polar bears are marine mammals; you won't find a whale on top of the cliff - we are losing sea ice so rapidly; scientists predict that by 2035, the Arctic will be ice-free in summer. Sea ice platform is the habitat of polar bears - this is where they live and where they find food. No sea ice, no polar bear - so what is this polar bear doing on top of a cliff? They have no idea why sea ice is fast vanishing - but we know, we can speak for the bear, we can help. The prospect of the complete loss of Arctic sea-ice in summer by 2035 should really be focussing all our minds on achieving a low-carbon world as soon as humanly feasible. https://www.sciencedaily.com/rel.../2020/08/200810113216.htm

08.01.2022 It’s been over 20 years since the beginning of the global anti-shark-finning movement. Protests. Celebrity campaigns. Attempts to define protected areas. Which did lead to various levels of fishing and shipping bans around the world, yet after all these years, the trade of shark fins soup is still rampant - easily found in restaurants in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Shanghai... can we do more? This picture captured during the "Facing Grace" shoot with Hidy Yu.
