06.01.2022 We’ve been keeping quiet while Maxi has been in palliative care. The aggressive tumour mass on his neck was not on his thyroid but on his connective tissue and was inoperable. He had one round of chemo and that knocked him about, and was not going to get rid of anything, just prolong the outcome, feeling like crap. His last and only chemo session was over 8 weeks ago and he’s still losing hair! I put him on a no carb diet but high in protein and gave him CBD oil, although th...e oil treatment was too late to make a difference. He can no longer eat (swallow) as of Wednesday night, can only have a few licks of liquid and his breathing is very rattled. The tumour has pushed his throat to one side making everything impossible and I’m sure extremely uncomfortable. Tomorrow afternoon we will say our goodbyes and send him to the Rainbow Bridge, with MUCH heartache. See more

03.01.2022 We welcomed our old mate Oreo (who’s matured a lot since his last visit), for the weekend. I’m pretty sure Xiggy (yes, that’s how he wants me to spell his name now; he’s gone all millennial) enjoyed having someone to play with after losing our Maxi at the end of August. He tuckered himself out!
