In a medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar just until pale yellow and creamy, then whisk in flour. Set aside. 2. In a medium saucepan, heat milk on medium heat just to a boil. Remove from heat. 3. Gradually pour the hot milk into the egg mixture while simultaneously whisking constantly until smooth. 4. Transfer mixture back into saucepan. 5. Cook over medium-low heat, whisking constantly and vigorously so that the eggs won’t curdle, until mixture thickens. 6. Remove from heat and transfer to a medium heatproof bowl. 7. Press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the custard to prevent it from creating a ‘skin’. 8. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled. 9. Slice swiss roll into inch thick slices. 10. Prepare a few small deep transparent bowls or 1 large transparent bowl. 11. Arrange the swiss roll slices facing our the the bottom. 12. Fill up the bottom of the bowl with the swiss rolls. 13. From the canned fruit cocktail, pour enough syrup into the bowl and soak the swill roll sponges. 14. Scoop out pieces of the fruit cocktail and create a layer of fruits above the swill rolls. 15. Save a few pieces to garnish the top. 16. Pour the chilled custard to cover the fruits and create a layer. 17. Finally spread the top layer with whipping cream and garnish with the fruits.

Put the chocolate chips in a medium bowl. 2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat the cream until hot. 3. Pour cream over chocolate and let stand for 1 minute. 4. With a metal spatula, quickly spread it to evenly cover the top and let the frosting drip down the sides. 7. Once the frosting is set, slice and serve.

Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. tomato puree Salt and pepper INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the peeled and quartered potatoes in medium sized pot. 2. Cover with at least an inch of cold water. Add a teaspoon of salt. 3. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and cook until tender (about 20 minutes). 4. While the potatoes are cooking, melt half of the butter in a large sauté pan on medium heat. 5. Add ground beef to the pan. 6. Cook until the meat is browned. Season with salt and pepper. 7. Add the chopped onions and carrots and cook until tender, about 6 to 10 minutes. 8. Add the Worcestershire sauce, tomato puree and beef broth. 9. Bring the broth to a simmer and reduce heat to low. 10. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes, adding more beef broth if necessary to keep the meat from drying out. 11. When the potatoes are done cooking (a fork can easily pierce), drain and place them in a bowl with the remaining butter and cream cheese. 12. Mash with a fork or potato masher, and season with salt and pepper to taste. 13. Preheat oven to 200C 14. Spread the cooked beef in an even layer in a large baking dish. 15. Spread the mashed potatoes over the top of the beef. 16. Rough up the surface of the mashed potatoes with a fork so there are peaks that will get well browned. 17. Place the dish in the oven and cook until browned and bubbling, about 30-40 minutes. 18. Serve warm.
