24.01.2022 Flashback to all the fab times had out west in 2019. I wonder what trips 2020 will bring If you are in the Toowoomba, Roma, Charleville region and are interested in some one-on-one time with me in your wardrobe or shopping, head to my website and let me know as I am considering a trip late April. @ Central Queensland

24.01.2022 When your Dad, bestie and Wedding Planner join forces to create an arbour like no other. Dont be fooled by its beauty. This is easily transportable, wind resistant and bloody well made! On ya Dad. And thanks Amy and Laura for bringing this vision of mine to life. This is now available to hire through Amy and Laura @theclarkeproject3 if anyone is getting married in CQ x Photography by the wonderful Jessica Turich Photography x

22.01.2022 There really are two types of people in the world when it comes to caring for your leather. How many products do you actually need to care for your leather and what are the best products to buy? In this video Penny from @csltcm and I discuss. Are you Lucy-Goosey when it comes to this topic or Highly Strung? (Guess which one I am, and which one Penelope is) OR, are you neither because, what are these products you speak of?! Eeep. Its never too late to do better when it comes ...to caring for your beloved leather items. Lastly, we mentioned a product in this that I forgot the name of while filming...its called the Suede and Nubuck Mousse Cleaner from Mister Minit. There are a few out there but Ive seen this product work on a pair of boots that were, in my eyes, destroyed thanks to a country race day. But no, no, no, thanks to this mousse theyre still kicking! #howtocareforleather #leather#consciousfashion #csltcm #sustainability #brisbanefashionstylist See more

22.01.2022 Stylish. Modern . Minimal. And ideally an outfit that can be worn again. This was the brief for this gorgeous brides outfit for their intimate wedding of 15 close family and friends in Maleny last weekend. There was no stone left unturned in the great hunt for Lucys outfit and after a number of underwhelming online purchases that didnt look as good as they did in the picture online (dont get me started), I suggested we have georgette silk pants made, similar to what Lucy ...had worn recently. So off to the fabric store we went, in search of the perfect fabric to go with this exquisite bodice from @scanlantheodore . You looked absolutely stunning Lucy and you know what, I now cant wait to see you rock this bodice again, under a tailored white business shirt, tucked in to high waisted black pants for work #bossbabe #butmakeitfashion #outfitrepeaters #costperwear #sustainablefashion #nontraditionalbride Congratulations Lucy and Patrick, wishing you a wonderfully happy life together X See more

21.01.2022 Late night shopping in dreamy spaces like this one tonight

21.01.2022 Who else rocked velcro Reef sandals when they were young?! Ahhh the good ol days. This summer the ugly sandal is back. Here are my top picks for those who dare to try this trend

20.01.2022 Working with Alex was a lovely little reminder that we can all get better at mastering #reducereuserecycle by consciously buying only what we need. After our wardrobe session, Alex decided she needed a guided shopping session with me to fill the gaps Id mentioned and also show her a few other op-shops I enjoy going to. This didnt mean we only shopped in op-shops though. We made a few well-thought out purchases from boutiques and online. During our shopping session I asked her if shed ever made a panic purchase to which she responded, No. If I didnt have it already or find something I knew I loved, Id do without Lets all try to be a little more like Alex in 2020 #brisbanestylist #2020mindset #consciousliving

19.01.2022 Those Friday feels after youve washed your hair, shaved your legs, done your nails ETC. Even achieving one of these tasks is a win and still deserves a hair toss

18.01.2022 Two boxes of menswear including a stack of size 32 jeans are on their way out to Ilfracombe Post Offices Preloved / New Boutique this week courtesy of A|M male clients. Theyre sold at op-shop prices with all proceeds donated to Drought Angels. Tag your friends or family who live in the area and may need a new pair of

17.01.2022 Its safe to say Sabas linen game is strong this season ladies and gents. Linen is a fabric often avoided by many due to the ironing factor. But the feeling of linen on your skin when Queensland temps are peaking really is hard to beat. So how to avoid creased linen? 1. Hand wash and lay flat to dry 2. Hang in your wardrobe, dont fold 3. Steam/iron before you put it back in your wardrobe. So when youre getting ready and running late, its ready to go and youre not flicking past it thinking, nope, that requires ironing. This ones more of a mental thing really but it seems to work with me. Bonus tip** lower your standards and adapt to crushed linen. I have and its liberating

15.01.2022 With a lot of us bunkering down and limiting all social outings at present, Ive been seeing all types of #wfh outfits. So we thought it was timely to release these videos, which we filmed two weeks ago, where we shopped Pennys wardrobe. We hope it inspires you to find joy in what you already own and how to move into the cooler seasons with your existing clothes. Its been 6 months since Penny started her second #csltcm project (Consciously Spend Less to Create More Projec...t) and when we started recording this, she was feeling quite flat about her current wardrobe but over the next 3 videos youll see how she transforms in to loving herself sick (go Penn!). Well be discussing how to wear an item 3 ways, tonal dressing for the season and also a few other insights in to outfit creations Penny and I discovered along the way. Regardless of whether youre home alone isolating or youre still going to work, lets put your best foot forward. Personally, Im all for getting up and getting dressed and looking presentable for the day. Clothes can be like your armour for shitty times. If I feel good, I can handle whatever the day throws at me. If this does inspire you and you create a new outfit from watching this, please tag us so we can be inspired by YOU! #csltcm #csltcmproject #sustainablefashion #isolationcreation #brisbanefashionstylist #goldcoastfashionstylist #penelopebell #covid19 #wellness #aw20 #aw2020 #winterfashion

14.01.2022 How to kickstart your personal style in 2020 is now live on the blog and you may be surprised at whats made the list...

14.01.2022 For those in need of a podcast that warms your soul, take a listen to Ali Hills conversation with Penelope Bell Illustration. Penelope is a dear friend of mine (so is Ali to be honest!) and you may have seen our videos from her Consciously Spending Less to Create More project recently. She opens up about this project divulging the highs and lows (even turning on the fashion industry for just a little bit) throughout this time. Penny grew up in country Qld and was homeschoole...d by her Mum. If youre embarking on homeschooling at the moment, like most are, jump on to her Instagram page @Penelope_Bell_Official and hear her chats with her Mum about this time. Its great! Penny is also doing virtual drawing classes (because shes also a Fashion Illustrator yknow!) and if this chat doesnt make you want to learn to draw (better), Id be surprised. Lastly, if you enjoy this chat as much as I did be sure to give Ali a rating and also share this with a friend who you think might also enjoy it or get something out of this wholesome chat. At this time in particular, I love sharing and receiving podcast recommendations from friends. Its a nice way to keep in touch and feel in touch with the outside world. Enjoy x https://www.alisonhill.com.au/standoutlife (Episode 89) See more

12.01.2022 For all those in the Chermside area TODAY// Wittner is collaborating with The Salvation Army encouraging customers to spring clean their wardrobe, donate and drop off their pre-loved shoes into the red Salvos bins instore. As a thank you, customers will receive $30 off their purchase instore at the time of donation. I happened to stumble across this while on the Westfield website but cant seem to see any other marketing on it which is a shame because its such a great concept!

07.01.2022 New do! I was in a total hair funk. Do I grow it, do I conform to the trend of a short, blunt do. Ugh, exhausting. At the end of the day we went with what works for me. A colour that brightens but is still natural and a short-ish length that doesnt accentuate my chin Thanks for getting me out of my hair funk @athina_s_hair and for confirming that Im just not a long hair lass (as shes combing out knots that resemble hair balls) #keepingitreal

05.01.2022 If youre getting married in Central Qld do yourself a favour and hire this amazing woman. They all say you drop a few kilos from stress the week of your wedding but I didnt shed as much as a gram and Im thanking you for that Lawsie, for keeping me so chilled! Dunc and I cant thank you enough for going above and beyond for us and our family on our wedding day. (Like when the music wasnt loud enough and somehow you managed to have massive speakers delivered at 10pm withi...n 20minutes!!!) 04.01.2022 Matching coat hangers and organising items by colour can go a very long way when creating calmness in your wardrobe, especially if youre all about the quantity #springclean #tistheseason #wardrobecleanse #brisbanefashionstylist

04.01.2022 It was an early start yesterday to drive 270km from Charleville to Eulo for the Ladies Day where I gave a little talk on styling and how I approach op-shopping by thinking outside the box. I also managed to lure 3 fabulous locals who graciously accepted a last minute modelling gig for the fashion show to model some of the pre-loved finds that I turned in to outfits. Can you believe all of these items were in the frock shop and selling for $3-10 each!? Brands like Tibi, Diane von Furstenberg, Prada, you name it! The little blue suede clutch was actually given to me by a dear Instagram follower and it had more than one lady after it so we auctioned it and got an extra $60 for the local branch of the Isolated Childrens Parents Association. What a day Thanks for having me Cunnamulla ICPA

03.01.2022 Did someone say Ladies Night?! Thanks for having me Charlottes Nest . What a brilliant evening and what a brilliant boutique to play dress ups in / #ladiesnight #charleville #AMontour @ Charleville, Queensland, Australia

03.01.2022 I learnt early on in isolation that baking bread wasn’t a skill I wanted to master. So if you can’t bake bread, revamp your website I say! And the new look is now LIVE! To celebrate, two blogs will be released tonight. Spoiler alert One of the blogs includes exclusive offers from some of my favourite maternity/non-maternity brands. You don’t have to be expecting to take advantage of their exclusive offers either ... (Big love to my tech-savvy sis @londonsogood locked down in the UK. You are the reason I didn’t shed a tear through the whole website rebuild process, which is pretty bloody astonishing considering my hormones at the moment! You rock ) #supportlocal #australianowned #maternityfashion #bakebabiesnotbread

02.01.2022 Out and about in Mums cullottes from the 80s. Revamped this season thanks to a $35 belt from Portmans (that I love!) and the boot that never leaves my side. I packed these away in 2017 after wearing them a lot and unpacked them just a few weeks ago, proving that you can fall back in love with old pieces in your wardrobe and create new and exciting looks. #sustainablefashion #foreverwardrobe #buildyourown

02.01.2022 Hi all, just thought Id jump on and give an update for those needing to know when Ill be styling in Brisbane next. If youre not aware, I live in a lovely little beachside town in Northern NSW so most of my sessions are primarily on the Gold Coast and online now. However, I will be travelling to Brisbane for styling sessions from 21 July and only have a few spaces left before Ill be on maternity leave mid Sept. The bump seems to be handling the distance I cover while sho...pping but I feel there may be a time limit on this so get in quick! :) For those not comfortable going to shopping centres just yet, the online packages have been working really well and Im still taking bookings for these right up until mid September. Stay safe everyone! X

02.01.2022 My dear friend Penelope Bell Illustration has just launched her second project on how to Consciously Spend Less to Create More (#csltcm) in your wardrobe. As part of this 12 month project she invited me in to her wardrobe to rejig it a little and also to answer a few style related and wardrobe questions that her followers had written in for me to answer. Penny is a qualified fashion designer and illustrator and is passionate about being a consciously minded consumer when it comes to fashion. She can also sew and makes a lot of what she wears which to me, is enviable! Our chat is fun, real, lighthearted and relatable. Pop over to her page to follow her 12 month journey. Ill be sharing some snippets shortly of what we got up to #csltcm #csltcmproject #brisbanestylist #slowfashion #consciousfashion

01.01.2022 As part of launching the A|M Virtual Styling packages, which you can now view on the website, I thought Id share with you an example of what a virtual shop-up looks like. In a one-on-one styling service this is tailored to your individual budget, body shape and style, but for now, enjoy my recording of my Top Picks: Best Jeans for all Budgets. Unfortunately two links during the recording didnt work. Ill add these to the comments sections for those needing them. https://shopshare.tv/shopcast/U2hvcGNhc3Q6MTU2MA==
