24.01.2022 Hats off to Ness from Join The Crew who fulfilled a commitment to herself by walking the 10km O'Keefe Challenge course on the weekend (whilst maintaining social distancing and safety guidelines, of course!) Kirsten and our O'Keefe Challenge team members popped some signage along the 5km and 10km courses yesterday to help those wanting to try a 'virtual' Challenge. Nice one Ness

16.01.2022 Sometimes a little competition goes a long way to producing great runs. Last year, Jamie Cook and Leon Griffin were shoulder-to-shoulder for almost the entire 42.2km marathon course. "Cookie" outkicked "Griffo" as they entered the finishing area for the win. No matter your level, we encourage you to challenge a friend or challenge yourself in this year's O'Keefe Challenge - 17 & 19 April 2020.

We - the Committee behind the event - believe this is the most appropriate decision based on the Victorian Government's Regional Roadmap that currently indicates that a maximum gathering of ten people for the planned date of our event. We are naturally very disappointed and hope that everyone is able to join us on 30 April and 2 May 2021.

05.01.2022 Wanting to prep for The O'Keefe Challenge, but not sure about the smoke and the air quality? The best guide we've found (shared to us by the legends at The Running Company Ballarat) is this chart by the NSW Health website. Locally, you can use the app 'Plume' on your phone to get real-time indications of air quality.... Please note that running or riding in some conditions can do more harm than good, so please take care out there!

01.01.2022 Give me a trail among the gum trees ... follow the spectacular O'Keefe Rail Trail from Bendigo to Heathcote, as it weaves its way through bushland, open fields, farms, and past Lake Eppalock.
