23.01.2022 Spoke to Cobby out at Old Andado and all is well, he has his own lakes again on 3 sides! 74mm of rain fell there after a really dry summer. The road in through Santa Teresa is closed and will be inaccessible for sometime. The gibber plains around Mac Clark Acacia Peuce Reserve are an inland ocean and that ground takes a decent amount of time to dry. 21.01.2022 Such an important issue! While driving to Adelaide on Saturday, 40km out of Glenbambo, I came across a car that had hit an emu and wasnt driveable. The occupants werent hurt thankfully. They were from overseas and didnt realise the distances between places and the fact theres no mobile range in between them. They were unprepared with no water, food or first aid supplies at all. ... I contacted their friends who were traveling ahead of them to Coober Pedy once I got to Glendambo and another traveller had spare water to give them. Luckily it wasnt in the heat of our summer that this happened.

15.01.2022 Hi all Just a heads up to all travelling north in September please be aware that the Airforce will be closing the road again. The closure as stated in picture.... If you leave Glendambo before 7am you will be able to get through. This will be the same as if your leaving Coober pedy. You will need to leave by 7am to get back to Glendambo. The closure covers a 300km stretch as we live in a defence range. This only happens once a year. If anyone is after anymore information your free to contact woomera defence range on... number below 8674 3370 As we have little information and this is all we have been told at the moment. Thank you.

11.01.2022 Its been a long time between posts and a lot has happened in that time and I am not able to make comment at this stage. The families plans to secure a better future for Old Andado Station have been assessed and we have unanimously decided to ready the property for lease to a tourism based business. It is very early days in this process and we ask for your patience as this evolves. On the ground at Old Andado things will remain the same with access to camping and the Homeste...ad. Our long term Caretaker, Cobby Bob, will be moving on, at our request, to allow us to ready the Homestead and property for the lessee. 11.01.2022 URGENT! Our donkey drum has died and we need a replacement urgently. Ive put the call out to the Alice Springs locals via Facebook. Needs 44 gallon galvanised drum - new or in near perfect condition is best. Go share and spread the word! Cheers.

05.01.2022 34mm in the last week at Old Andado. The surrounding areas are very wet and the Finke is still flowing. The claypans on Andado by the Mac Clark Acacia Peuce Reserve are an ocean! We do not recommend anyone trying to reach us for a few weeks. Our caretaker, Cobby, took 6 days to get home when he tried recently due to getting severely bogged and caught in storms! He has lots of photos that Ill post when I can reach him again! Thankfully he is an experienced bushie and knows how to survive in the middle of no where with one puny shade tree.

01.01.2022 Rain stats - 14mm on the 20th Jan. Storms all round Old Andado. Roads not psssabe from Santa Teresa to us especially around Mac Clark Acacia Peuce Reserve claypans.

01.01.2022 The organisers of Mollys Bash regrettably have had to make the decision to permanently change the date of Mollys Bash. Due to circumstances, we cannot control, this decision was reached on the 5th March. The new annual weekend for Mollys Bash will now be the second weekend in September so for 2017 thats Sept 9 & 10. or those who have already purchased tickets, a full refund will be offered. We recognise that this change will cause some upheaval but we are trying to make this a very excellent and successful event that will run for years to come.
