07.02.2022 #Repost @studioqueen318 with @make_repost A few months ago, I stepped completely out of my comfort zone and had a personal brandingsession with @olessia_mcgregor_photographer. I've always been the one in the background, off in my own little world making my bags and my art, so doing this felt really uncomfortable. I've always admired women (especially in business) who can be authentic, natural and powerful in one go. Women who took chances and showed up completely as t...hemselves. So I took my vulnerable self to Olessia's studio and gave it all I had. Olessia was lovely and made me feel at home. It was actually a lot of fun. When I received the shots back a few weeks later, it took me some time to connect with the woman staring back at me I had never seen her before. Ken even had to convince me that they were me But now when I look at them, I'm so glad I had them done. They'll be featured on my new website (we are so close to launching) and will be something I can always look back on. For someone in their 50's, I think I'm doing ok. This is probably one of my favourite bags too. The stars on the bag came from Japan! Limited edition. 08.01.2022 "You are beautiful when you have the courage to be yourself..." @Peter Lindbergh was a legend photographer who has photographed royalty, celebrities and models and shot for editorials like Vogue, New Yorker, and Rolling Stones magazines. He was also one of my favorite photographers and I completely idolized him. Earlier this month, I attended 2019 The Portrait Masters Conference in Arizona and Peter was going to be one of the speakers. It was going to be a rare opportunity to... hear him speak about his love for photography, so it was an absolute shock to hear he had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly the night before the conference. Id been following Peter even before I held a camera and found him really inspiring and an extraordinary photographer. He was one who revolutionized photography and I loved his black and white photos and how he photographed women in their raw beauty. May his spirit live on in the photography and fashion world.
