23.01.2022 Prioritising your mental health and wellbeing is more important than ever. Today, our wonderful Wellbeing Team decided to provide all of our staff with a 'Good Mental Health' bag of treats to recognise the importance of looking after yourself. The bag included an array of yummy comfort foods and pampering treatments, as well as an important checklist for those routine health checks we may have forgotten about during lockdown. The surprise, joy, laughter and conversation the bags created really helped to put a skip in the step of our amazing staff!

19.01.2022 Our Year 10 Coaching and Event Management class recently had the opportunity to meet with Athlete and Sports Events Management Professional, Natalie Arnold. Natalie Arnold has worked across many world-class events including the Vancouver 2012 Winter Olympics, London 2012 Olympics, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cup 2015, Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and World Expo 2020. In 2018, Natalie was also the youngest Australian to run a marathon on all 7 continents unassisted. Students heard how Natalie has achieved her career goals and what a day in the life of a Sports Events Manager looks like. Natalie did not shy away from answering the tough questions posed by the Year 10 students and spoke very candidly about learning from her failures and making opportunities when met with adversity.

Thank you Amy, Amy and Ms Conroy for your support, we can’t wait to see everyone’s photos! Our Year 9 House Vice Captains have created the House Bake Off! Each week, there will be a new theme to inspire and challenge your creativity. This week's theme is 'Cupcakes'. We are so excited to see everyone’s baking skills and may the best House win! 16.01.2022 As this year draws towards a close, students are making Christmas cards to be blessed in our end of year liturgy. We can't wait to share the Christmas joy with our community.

03.01.2022 A Message from our Communications Captains: Throughout this term, we have worked together to continue our initiatives, despite the difficulties of both being in Stage 4 lockdown, and at the pointy end of our Year 12 studies. We hope to bring joy to students through our work, which we have both loved doing throughout the year. We have recently been focusing on two main tasks; putting together the Yearbook and running a Photo Competition. In organising the Yearbook, we have be...en working on designing pages and collating images and text. We are so excited for the Yearbook to be given to students at the end of the school year, and we hope it will bring people joy in this difficult time. The Photo Competition, which we have recently launched alongside the House Captains, allows for students to submit photos from online learning. Prizes and House Points are on offer, as well as the opportunity for these images to be featured in the Yearbook. We hope everyone in the OLMC community is staying healthy and safe. Amy and Amy - 2020 Communications Captains

02.01.2022 A Message from our Arts Captains: This term has been a blast for the Arts department! We were able to successfully run a virtual House Arts day and enjoy the talented performances of our fellow peers from the comfort of our homes. Every year House Arts is an anticipated event that builds House spirit and showcases the very talented students that attend our school. It definitely takes a lot of organisation and hard work to put together, so, we would like to thank our fellow St...udent Leaders, and Mr Hocking and Ms De Rosa for their input and support. We would also like to thank Ms Conroy for putting all the videos together and allowing us to be able to enjoy House Arts this year in these unexpected circumstances. Finally, a big shout out to the girls who put themselves out there to perform, we are in awe of the talent you all possess and hope you will all continue to showcase your amazing talents! Unfortunately, our time as Captains is almost up, but we are now looking for the next Arts Captains to entrust with the Arts department in 2021. The selection process for this is now well underway. A big thank you and best of luck to the Year 11 students who have put themselves out there and tried out for this leadership role. We know you'll do us proud! Kat and Minami - 2020 Arts Captains

02.01.2022 Mrs Thomson, our Transition Coordinator, has been receiving lots of wonderful photos from our 2021 Year 7 students. The future students were sent some OLMC cake toppers over the past few weeks as part of our Grade 6 Transition to High School Program. All of these cupcakes and cookies look delicious. Great job girls!

02.01.2022 Today our Year 12 students ended the term with a virtual Retreat day. The theme of the day was Living Life to the Full and our Year 12s were given the opportunity to reflect, renew, refresh and reconnect with themselves, others and God. As part of their day, our Year 12s were extremely lucky to have Clare Bowditch as their guest speaker. Clare focused on her own story of finding herself, trusting herself and her talents and transitioning - just as our Year 12s embark on transitioning beyond the school gates. She spoke of normalising the feelings of self-doubt, anxiety and letting go of these to cultivate wholehearted living. It was an amazing session that included a mixture of Clare talking and singing, and allowed some time for the girls to reflect on their own lives.
