22.01.2022 Last weekend Our Lady of Fatima Parish celebrated the Sacrament of Eucharist. Congratulations to all of the Year 4 students and parish members who received their First Holy Communion.
20.01.2022 Dear parishioners & friends, In accordance with the Western Australian Government guidelines and the Perth Archdiocese directives, we in Our Lady of Fatima, Palmyra, will have a crack at celebrating our first Mass since the COVID-19 shutdown, this Sunday. The first Mass of "20" persons will be at 9:45am this Sunday. Other Masses of "20" persons will follow to accommodate spill-overs.... If you can still access live streaming Masses you are encouraged to stay home and continue to live stream. If you are feeling unwell, you are bound to stay home. If you are feeling well and decide to attend please be advised that there are stringent measures in place for your safety and everyone elses. Please carefully read the communication attached here that has been distributed by Fr Francis and the Parish Council and share your thoughts, questions and feedback in the comments section.
20.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT: Until the end of June, we will keep to only one single Mass on Sundays at 9.45am beginning on 7th June 2020. If the one single Mass exceeds the government directive of 100 person congregation, then we will think of augmenting with an additional Mass on the day or on subsequent Sundays. Weekday Masses will not resume until the parish is satisfied that the month of June has not revealed any known symptoms of COVID-19 within our congregation, while we await the gov...ernment directives for Phase 4 COVID-19 WA Roadmap. Still encourage those who can to stream online. Parishioners who are unwell are bound to stay home Government regulations dictate that everyone who enters must have contact details recorded for contact tracing. We must still maintain physical distance of 1.5m between people who are not from the same household The link to Archbishop directives: http://www.perthcatholic.org.au/Our_Archdiocese-Archbishop- Link to WA Government Phase 3 COVID Safety Guidelines: https://www.wa.gov.au//COVID%20Safety%20Guidelines%20Phase

19.01.2022 BULLETIN - TRINITY SUNDAY - YEAR A My dear friend & parishioner, As we open up our parish church for Sunday Masses following in the directives of the government, we should take care about the dangers, which is posed by this opening-up.... Reliably, there would seem to be more persons who have the Covid-19 but have no symptoms. So everybody must continue to take all necessary precautions, as the government has advised. The dangers of being infected are more now than before the opening-up. We bear this in mind as we celebrate the feast of the Holy Trinity. The feast of the Holy Trinity reminds us that the joy of living in a community is facilitated by the effort made by each person to make that community a more harmonious union, whether the community is seen as the family, a suburb, a school, a parish church, a club, a team, or a conglomerate, and so on. Whatever for us answers to the idea of what we call the community, the idea of the trinity is what advances the life of that community. Ditch the idea of the trinity, that community begins to die. Sometimes, Christians form the impression that the churchs idea of the Holy Trinity precedes the mundane idea of the trinity as perceived in nature. The truth is that it is the other way round. The churchs formulation of the trinitarian concept rests on what already exists in nature; and this is a powerful statement, which should encourage everyone in their different units, especially in every family, to pay more attention to the ingredients that make up the soil into which we have all put down our roots in our human relationships. If, for instance, in a family, anyone ceases to take seriously any of those ingredients, the family collapses. It is as simple as that. I have tried in the attached reflection to explain as briefly and as simple as possible the meaning and the purpose of the Trinity as one notable Father of the church, St Augustine, sees it, and as it works in nature, as in physics. St Augustines formulation is as good as other formulations if not better. Happy weekend. Best wishes. Francis
