20.01.2022 A Gentle Reminder From Pope Francis This life will go by fast. Dont fight with people, dont criticize your body so much, dont complain so much. ... Dont lose sleep over your bills. Look for the person that makes you happy. If you make a mistake, let it go and keep seeking your happiness. Never stop being a good parent. Dont worry so much about buying luxuries and comforts for your home, and dont kill yourself trying to leave an inheritance for your family. Those benefits should be earned by each person, so dont dedicate yourself to accumulating money. Enjoy, travel, enjoy your journeys, see new places, give yourself the pleasures you deserve. Allow dogs to get closer. Dont put away the fine glassware. Utilize the new dinnerware; dont save your favorite perfume, use it to go out with yourself; wear out your favorite sport shoes; repeat your favorite clothes. So what? Thats not bad. Why not now? Why not pray now instead of waiting until before you sleep? Why not call now? Why not forgive now? We wait so long for Christmas; for Friday; for Reunions; for another year; for when I have money; for love to come; when everything is perfect...look... Everything perfect doesnt exist. Human beings cant accomplish this because it simply was not intended to be completed here. Here is an opportunity to learn. So take this challenge that is life and do it now...love more, forgive more, embrace more, love more intensely and leave the rest in Gods hands. Amen.

10.01.2022 Good day brothers and sisters and may the peace of Christ be with you. As we continue our journey in this Season of the Resurrection and live through this pand...emic with all the restrictions we listen to the words of Jesus from todays Gospel who quotes the Prophet Isaiah saying he has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they may not look with their eyes and understand with their heart and turn (Jn 12:40). In the midst of this pandemic and with the easing of restrictions on many services other than our Churches, we find that these words resound strongly for us as we feel that the authorities are have blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts towards our spiritual needs which for us is the most essential part of our life. As such together with our Maronite Eparchy under the guidance of our Bishop and in solidarity with all the Catholic Churches, we urge to sign the attached petition prepared by the Archdiocese of Sydney, so that the government can ease restrictions on our churches as soon as possible from 10 to 50 in line with other community services. Let us continue to pray so that this pandemic can be over and that all restrictions may be lifted so that we can gather together as one community of faith and glorify the Lord in the Eucharist. 10.01.2022 OUR LADY OF LEBANON CO-CATHEDRAL PUBLIC NOTICE We were contacted this afternoon (Saturday 18 July 2020) by NSW Health and were advised that a parishioner of Our... Lady of Lebanon Parish has tested positive for COVID-19. The parishioner attended the church on Wednesday 15 July at 5.30pm, Thursday 16 July at 6.00pm and Friday 17 July at 1:30pm and 6.00pm. We have a duty of care to protect our parishioners, our clergy, our parish staff, and our community. We have provided our attendance registers to NSW Health. *If you attended Our Lady of Lebanon Cathedral since Wednesday 15 July 2020, and are showing any symptoms of COVID-19, please get tested. * The Cathedral was deep cleaned and sanitised today, soon after we were informed. We will work closely with NSW Health to keep you informed and updated. Through the prayers of St Charbel and Our Lady of the Southern Cross, we ask the Heavenly Father to protect us all and keep us safe from harm and sickness.

06.01.2022 Dear Parishioners, Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral will open its doors again to the faithful tomorrow, , as announced yesterday in our Tempora...ry Liturgical and Pastoral Directives posted here in the Whatsapp groups, Facebook and on our website on this link: https://www.olol.org.au//Temporary-Liturgical-Pastoral-Dir As we are all responsible for the duty of care of our clergy, parishioners, volunteers, and staff, we are asking for your cooperation when visiting OLOL by abiding by the following: : * Respect and follow the directions of the volunteers; * Arrive at least 15 minutes earlier to the Cathedral to register your name and have your temperature checked; * Sanitise your hands before entering the Cathedral; * Sit only at the Marked Spots on the Pews (marked with a blue and white Cross) and maintain social distancing at all times; * Abide by the social distancing rules when approaching the priest to receive Communion (this means a distance of 1.5 meters apart); * when Mass is concluded, please leave the Cathedral and go straight to your cars. : * Enter the Church if you have flu-like symptoms or fever (high temperature); * Kiss or touch the statues and the tabernacle; * Gather under the shelter after Mass or inside the Cathedral.
