19.01.2022 COVID-19 was a flop. During isolation you missed out on spray tans, I have quite a lot of solution left over and almost at its expiry date. I hate waste and would be gutted to tip it down the sink. So I have an idea. I am offering free spray tans.... NOT A MOBILE SERVICE In return I ask that you bring me a non-perishable food idem, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, winter warmers (jumper, blanket, scarf etc) or anything else you think someone in need would need. I will choose a local charity to donate it all to. Giving back to this community is so important to me. They helped me and my children when we fled a violent situation, faced homelessness and financial hardship. We wouldn't be where we are today without the support we received. I will post when I've decided which days I will be operating for this service. You will be informed when I am taking bookings. Whilst on the phone to the Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industries representative, being told I was nominated again, she also said to come down to get my awards from last year. I was so confused. Her boss contacted me to organise this beautiful custom nail decal of Jahreece. Jahreece is a local, he started looking down on all his loved ones in February. His spirit is clearly shining through this community. It's beautiful how everyone is keeping memories of him fresh, This is just one of the many ways. I feel absolutely honoured to have been a part of helping celebrating his life. I didn't know Jahreece personally but do know many people who are connected to him. 03.01.2022 Ohhh it's amazing how things keep repeating themselves in different ways. This last week I've had powerful women tell me "your too kind" "know your worth" "find your inner b*tch"... This is not in a bad way though. They mean it in a kind and constructive way. I know I'm a giver, I care, I want to please, I love warm fuzzy feels. But as much as having a huge heart can be a beautiful asset, it can also be someones worst. People can see it as a weakness and take advantage of your kindness. It has happened to me, I literally see it before my eyes, yet I enable it because Id rather keep peace. I'm learning I cant get ahead by continuing this kind behaviour. These women telling me this don't mean to be nasty or insulting. They mean to build my boundaries, learn to say no and don't be afraid of it. Those people taking advantage aren't worth wasting my kindness on. The people who deserve it will always be there and not just float in and out. I appreciate these women telling me. I always knew it, but sometimes you need to hear it from someone else. Im never going to stop being kind, only to the people who deserve it. So thank you ladies for having the balls to tell me what I need to hear. It's just another push to keep this exciting journey on track xxxxx

01.01.2022 Well holy moly!! I am a fully mobile business. I have my space set up at home to practice nails and tans and my work space for all my computer/paper work. There is so much behind the scenes work that goes on to operate business. I do this all on my own, I have no assistance whatsoever. I work with my beautiful clients and then I come home to do all the other to-do lists, like filing client consultations, paying bills, ordering product, creating social media content, monthly b...usiness reports, financial reports, visiting my mentor, banking, interviews, meetings, cleaning and sterilising my tools and equipment, washing towels, returning phone calls, booking appointments, marketing, designing, networking.... The list goes on. If you are a business owner or know about running a business then you'll know there some times isn't enough hours in a day. Crazy thing is I LOVE IT! Gees it's hard work but I get a kick out of it. So once I'm done for the day, what's next? I am a single mother of three beautiful crazy kiddies (one with special needs and mental health) . And if you have kids then you understand what comes along with that. Some how, I don't really know how, I seem to make it all work though. Yes my house is upside down most days. But we have a roof over our head, clean clothes and food in our tummies. Routien and hard work helps. I must add though, I do love visitors. What makes things difficult is when people don't call first. I could be busy on the computer or about to have a phone call, then there is a knock on the door. Uh oh. This means cuppa, chit chats and giggles which I love. But what a lot of people forget is my hours are 9-5 yes I work mobile and at home, but these hours are precious and time is something you can't get back. So I appreciate the visitors, but please call first hehehe he. I love being a sole trader. Its all on my terms and so much fun.
