24.01.2022 Sharing - Part 1 - (watch part 2 next ) How to raise your vibration & boost your immune system



24.01.2022 Covoid-19 within a TCM Framework A fortuitous Live video and a bit of research today produced some insights into Covoid-19 from the perspective of Traditional C...hinese Medicine (TCM). The foundation of TCM and CALLIGRAPHY HEALTH are one and the same - the five elements, how they relate to the organs, senses etc and most importantly the flow of Qi/blood. In TCM Covoid-19 manifests as and is as such considered as a Cold Dampness (CD) disease. It attacks the human body from the outside in, there is no high/strong fever and the tongue is thick ie has a coating suggesting dampness. Hence why it is considered as Cold Dampness. And its main location is in the lungs. As such the underlying cause is a chest/lung Yang Qi deficiency. In a very short space of time the lung is filled with mucous, basically closing down the lungs. The lungs are virtually swamped with mucous, (cold, and damp) with no space left for air/gaseous exchanges to take place and with blood/oxygen saturation drastically dropping in a short period of time. As pointed out above this is a Yang Qi deficiency relating to the lungs/chest. Treatment hence needs to eliminate phlegm, Yang Qi is warming, and open up the chest. For specific TCM herbs you will need to see your TCM doctor. But there are a few things you can easily do at home that will help build up your Yang Qi. First and foremost is to look at warming the body. In regards to what we eat avoid cold damp food. And what do I mean by this think damp phlegmy looking food eg milk and milk products - cheese /yoghurt, tofu, cucumber, mushrooms and any type of cold or cooling drinks eg peppermint and green tea. When eating fruits (which are usually classified as cold food) trying warming them a little ... at the very least leave them out of the fridge to eat at room temperature. What you need instead is foods that have a warming and invigorating effect on the body think ginger, chilli, tumeric, onion, and walnuts (walnuts even look like the lungs), most spices and black tea. These foods are easy to research. Around the home burn Mugwort Leaf or White Sage. Used for centuries and called smudging there is now scientific evidence that these herbs help in the elimination of airborne pathogens. When it comes to our CALLIGRAPHY HEALTH practice we want to bring the Qi up into the lung/chest area whilst simultaneously bringing movement/circulation to this area to help clear it. Master said to keep it simple, practice Water Wheel, Energy Charge and Energy Thrust. Working on the DanTian breath will also help as the diaphragm expands downwards it works on opening up the lung/chest cavity. 24.01.2022 FreedAUM Yoga Hiking Retreats This is our 4th year running these retreats in Talbingo & we are so grateful to the lands & nature up there for all they have offered us with healing, reconnecting, grounding & taking a breath. These retreats have played a huge role in bringing community back together - with the simplicity of being in nature. So simple yet so potent. Somehow we have lost our way & become too disconnected from ourselves & to our detriment highly connected to our ...devices. With all that’s going on in the world, it’s clearly time! Time to make some changes and time to find our way back to the ancient rhythms & ways of living in harmony with mama earth - spending our days outside with each other in community around fires & with our elder trees - using the medicine of the elements to rebalance, see clearly & find the truth - to share from that place - living from our hearts not our minds. Seeing our lives as full of possibility on a regular basis is as much a practice as any other advanced asana. In this current time of global crisis when anxiety and fear, and all our other hindrances come to bear their burden, how do we maintain our center, other than how we always do, by breathing? The fact that COVID-19 is primarily a respiratory illness links it quite strongly with the power of our breath. Someone with a depressed immune system and shallow breathing is often carrying those same emotional counterparts of depression and anxiety, but it is much easier to say to someone, just breathe, rather than to say, be happy. For with each deep powerful breath we embrace, we charge up our energy, fill our cells with new oxygen, take in another lungful of life, and perhaps, eventually, the happiness comes naturally. Our lungs are where we hold accumulated sadness and emotional congestion. It is the backdrop upon which our heart beats, and it is the breath moving through our vocal chords that allows us to articulate our needs and wants, our compassion and empathy for others; our truth to speak. As is well known, without breath, we have no life. But this phenomena extends beyond the biological spectrum, because it is our voice that also supports the sharing of our sacred individual songs. So in this time of crisis, we need not only breathe, but sing. Expand our ribs, open the tissues of our organs, spread apart each cell, and fill it with the earthy ness of fall that is coming, despite and, with all our current limitations, loss, and suffering.

02.01.2022 Yin/Yang 200hr Yoga Teacher Training ~ November 2020. WOW what a truly unforgettable month it has been. Such depth in growth, expansion & heart opening. A coming home. So deeply grateful, thankful & blessed to every one of these amazingly beautiful souls for showing up, your openness, willingness & fierce courage to trust, love & embrace it all. ... I am absolutely blown away by all of it. Your shifts, transformations, vulnerability, depth of sharing & the support you have had for one another is deeply humbling & admirable. Wagga we truly are so deeply blessed that somehow this work and these wisdoms found their way to us & that Lyssa and I crossed paths. Yay to walking & sharing this path & work together. May we all continue to choose the path of love & trust and walk in beauty. Our next YTT will be from August 29 - September 25, 2021. Love Justine
