21.01.2022 THE FOLK FESTIVAL PROGRAM HAS ARRIVED!!!! at the Miners Common Museum, Rubyvale, June 6 and 7, Queens Birthday Weekend. WORKSHOPS RUNNING BOTH DAYS: *Instrument building workshops- learn to make Ukuleles and Cajons (box drums) with JAM Australia.... *Wood-fire pizza oven construction- if this project is finished by Sunday we will put the oven to use! with JAM Australia. *Recycled Weaving- learn to create a loom and functional mats using bamboo, yarn, old clothes and plastic supermarket bags, with Ariane Chauprade. *Hula Hoop skills with Emma Pixie and Anne Sturgess *Beginner Poi skills with Emma Pixie SATURDAY: **10am Market stalls open **10am-4pm Capella Arts Council Kids craft workshop **10.30am Anakie School Choir Performance **11.30am Joanna Mae Virgo **12.30-3.30pm Open Jam Stage **4pm Maori Joe **5pm Act Out Drama Club and friends **6pm Anna Farquhar **7pm-10pm: Gladstone Fire Gang Hoopdancers JAM SUNDAY: **10am Market stalls open **10.30am-2.30pm Open Jam Stage **HANGI ready at approximately 2pm **3pm Joanna Mae Virgo **4pm Capella Crack Up Kids **5pm Alessandro Parlato **6pm-10pm: Gladstone Fire Gang Hoopdancers JAM ALL DAY BBQ SATURDAY AND SUNDAY Remember, this event is FREE to attend and camping is also FREE for the entire weekend!!
