21.01.2022 Epicanthoplasty is a nuanced procedure which aims to correct a prominent epicanthal fold. An epicanthal fold exists more commonly in patients of Asian descent and occurs when the fold of the upper eyelid overlaps the inner corner of the eye. Correcting this fold helps to make the eyes appear larger. This patient has had an epicanthoplasty combined with upper blepharoplasty to correct the upper lid asymmetry and remove the epicanthal fold. 20.01.2022 Here is a photo of one of our patients who has received serial botulinum toxin injections over a 6 month period to treat masseter hypertrophy. As you can see, there has been a significant reduction in masseter muscle bulk which results in slimming of the lower face and jawline. 19.01.2022 Repost @drcleland | This lovely patient underwent rhinoplasty with alar base and sill reduction. The aim here was to reduce the hump and refine the tip of the nose. The alar base and sill reduction improves the flare of the nostrils and nostril opening. The pictures you can see here are her unedited before and after photos taken with our Vectra 3D camera system which has been used to show the post-op changes. For new patients considering surgery, we also use this system in the clinic for morphing images when planning surgery. We have been closely following advice from the Australian Government Chief Medical Officer and Department of Health to keep our patients and staff safe when attending our practice. Our preference is for Telehealth consultations where possible, particularly for vulnerable or isolated pa...tients. Strict preventative hygiene measures have been implemented throughout the practice which are relevant for all face to face consultations. These include meticulous hand hygiene for staff and patients alike, routine use of appropriate personal protective equipment by staff for all interactions, routine and regular cleaning of frequently touched surfaces and fittings within the office in addition to usual cleaning practices. 03.01.2022 Septorhinoplasty for post traumatic deformity | Repost @drcleland Trauma to the nose during youth can lead to progressive changes to the shape and function of the nose as it grows. This patient underwent a #septorhinoplasty for correction of a crooked nose with associated nasal obstruction. Here you can see the nose has been straightened, the dorsum has been lowered and the tip refined.
