Great to have @harlee_elite down here for a 3 hour workshop covering topics such as: nutrition, recovery, sleep, hydration, mindset, mobility and stepping up as young men to show leadership and bring the best out in themselves and those around them.

21.01.2022 Week on week we’re seeing improvements in everyone’s aerobic capacity work: - improved understanding of our heart rate zones and their relevance to our performance - lower resting heart rates - increased heart rate tolerance in conditioning sets... By continuing to educate ourselves with these other elements of training, we not only benefit from the physical stimulus, but stay engaged mentally by better understanding the purpose behind everything that we do and how it relates to the results that we’re working toward, which in turn improves consistency! Really proud of how everyone has committed to this current block of training - the results are speaking for themselves.

Most of the time was spent focusing on that 6-8 rep range at 50/60% and maintaining consistent and efficient movement patterns. In just our 5th weekly ride, our numbers have increased really well, it’s so great to see everyone out riding at their own pace and challenging themselves with new routes each week! 10.01.2022 5:00am Whilst no one is particularly enthused to set their alarm at 4:30am, this group of 27 people showed up and put in a huge effort with our Wednesday Partner Workout. 25’ Workout... 20 rounds of: Set 1: 1’ max metres (row/ski)/cal (bike) Set 2: 30 max thrusters 50/35kg + 30 rest Then 5’ max metres Score: Max metres after 25’ Every thruster = 20m/10 cals on top of your score Eg. 3km + 50 thrusters = 4km

Great to welcome @kayleesmitth to the gym, too. In just her first week with us she’s already putting together unbroken double unders and showing good base level strength and conditioning with an awesome attitude to learn. 03.01.2022 Purposeful and periodised programming allows us to work toward achieving specific goals by adding different elements as each skill is understood and improved. Physical stimulus from workouts is one thing - anyone can flog the shit out of someone. Providing a mental stimulus that prompts participants to understand and appreciate the learning process, therefore providing more enjoyment, which in turn encourages greater accountability is key to delivering a maintainable lifestyle approach to training.

02.01.2022 Huge improvements from everyone in our community over the past 5 weeks! On Thursday’s we’ve introduced a specific focus on gymnastics progressions, we’ve seen all of our members progress from ring rows, banded, strict, kipping and weighted pull ups. Improving in these movements has seen increases in strength that is transferable to many other upper body movements. We can’t wait to step things up again with the final 5 weeks of programming commencing on Monday the 16th of November.
