Then back in June this year after five chapters I found the reminiscing of the great adventure became very frustrating as it was the only thing I wanted to be doing, not 'locked down' in paradise in Byron Bay. It is only now, five months later that I find myself able to be in acceptance enough to return to the writing. Here is chapter 6, it's a quicky. You may remember I was crouched behind my motorbike sheltering from a sand storm on the Moray Plains, half a day's ride from Leh.... linktr.ee/adrianheath

18.01.2022 CHAPTER 4 MONK BUSINESS. Chitkul to Gue Read the full chapter here: linktr.ee/adrianheath... The story goes that after some land movement in the valley in 1974, the monk’s original tomb was exposed. Tests have shown him to be over 500 years old. He had followed the ancient process of self-mummification which involves preparing one’s own body, whilst still alive, to be preserved. This involves diet and drying out one’s skin so, on death the fat content is very low and the organs shrunk so decomposition is less.. I neither felt nor remembered anything about the flight except that drinks weren’t served. The runway was a field peppered every few feet with white rocks the size of footballs and they weren’t positioned in two straight lines. Brace! Brace!... Each week I publish a chapter of the corresponding week two years ago I felt my discomfort rising when they asked if I was travelling alone, my intended route, how I was paying for the journey, how much money I had, how much money my ex-wife had , how much money my friends had and so on. You get the picture. Also these guys were kinda ‘likely lads’ and the knowing looks that passed between them as they continued their enquiries made me edgy. The energy of the geezer that worked in some sort of financial role felt particularly dark. Now I am quite prepared to accept I was being a bit paranoid but my intuition was on overdrive Read on - chapter link linktr.ee/adrianheath One Way Ticket to Delhi- A mid-life crisis done right!
