20.01.2022 These little Kmart Australia wireless headphones are awesome for days like today when the phone is ringing off the hook ... although I will admit, my ears must move a bit when I laugh because one likes to fall out

20.01.2022 What a day?!! How many times do you hear yourself saying that a week?. . Probably a few if you’re a business owner . . Time for a big glass of to celebrate the awesome week I’ve had... make sure you celebrate your wins, especially the ones that don’t feel like wins

19.01.2022 Throwback to Friday when I had the pleasure of catching up with Tina Marie Celebrant before we hit the Donnybrook Balingup CCI Sundowner and made some new business friends

19.01.2022 Who’s in your business team? Dave, my husband, is my number 1 team member. He’s the one who cheers me on when I’m stretching to new goals and makes the meals when I work big hours. I’m so grateful to have his support in my business.

18.01.2022 Oh dear, after my extra long weekend, my desk is a mess Does anyone else just throw things on their desk to deal with later

17.01.2022 Want to save time and never miss an email again? Use tasks to do just that in Outlook

15.01.2022 With the long weekend fast approaching () it’s important to remember that you don’t have to get everything done TODAY. There will always be another day, another time that you can do something so don’t stress yourself out trying to do it all today

15.01.2022 I’ve found that I just don’t exercise as much since becoming a business owner... you know, because I can totally lose myself in my office for hours. So I got myself this beauty... no excuses to not exercise now that it’s in the room next to the office

15.01.2022 Clutter comes in many forms, give yourself the space to declutter all of them in ways that work for you

13.01.2022 A weekend full of flowers, sunshine and loved ones. . For those in WA, make some time to go to the Nannup Flower Festival, it is spectacular!

13.01.2022 I’ve been a little quiet this week as I help my clients deal with the disruption of the current WA lockdown Hopefully we will be returning to normal programming next week

13.01.2022 Client calls in my favourite corner of my house. Do you have a favourite place in your house or office that helps get your creative juices flowing?

12.01.2022 Today I did a ‘no-no’... I multitasked . While on my walk I jumped on an awesome mindset webinar. I definitely didn’t give the webinar or my walk the full attention that they deserved but I did give myself permission to try my best and that is exactly what I did

12.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day massive shout out to my dad, who as a farmer, raised me to think about things differently and not take ‘but we’ve always done it that way’ as a good enough reason to not try something new.

11.01.2022 There definitely is no ‘one size fits all’ approach and the easiest way to maximise your time and productivity is to work in the best way for YOU. . So if you have bursts of energy, then you’ll be more productive in short bursts with space to rest in between those bursts. Trying to push through the rest time will leave you burning out quickly. Some may know this technique as Promodoro Technique, but even then, that’s based around 25 minute intervals and 5 minute breaks, which may not be the right interval for you. If you want to run with this Technique, then work it to the interval timings that work for you

10.01.2022 On the road again this time a quick day trip to Perth for an appointment but not before I cleared some work for my clients

09.01.2022 This is SO important If you really connect with someone make sure you touch base after the networking event... otherwise you’re basically ghosting your new business friend

09.01.2022 This will hit you right between the eyes if you’re someone who does the whole, ‘just 5 minutes more’, or ‘I’ve just got to do that one thing’... and 2, 3, 5hrs later you’re still slaving away at the work that could be done tomorrow So stick to your business hours and be kind to yourself, the world won’t fall apart if that email doesn’t get sent today, AND your clients will respect your business hours more if you respect them yourself. . Note to self.... must take my own advice after the last couple of crazy weeks

08.01.2022 Do you know how to spot a scam email I got this one this morning regarding my @netflixanz account. Funnily enough my Mum got one too . . Here are the 2 ways I could tell this was a scam email: I don’t have a Netflix account. Click on the section where it says ‘from’ and it’ll show the true email address.. doesn’t look like it’s from Netflix.

08.01.2022 Do you struggle with finding ‘new’ things to post about for your business? The trick is to not actually always think of ‘new’ things Did you do a video on something? Break it down into a blog or article (use free transcription software to save even more time)... Did you write a great blog or article? Turn that content into a video And then you can turn all of these into social media posts, by breaking the same content into smaller bite sized pieces of information Happy re-purposing

06.01.2022 Have you ever done a time audit? Maybe it’s time you did to see where exactly your time is being spent. Not sure how to do it, well it’s really simple, get a notebook or use a time tracking app (like Toggl or MyHours), note down everything you do and how long it takes for 7 consecutive days. Include all the times you stop to get make a coffee, go to the bathroom, scroll social media and time you spend working. When the week is up, go back and look through what you wrote down. How do the results that make you feel? And will you continue doing the same or will you try to make some little changes?

05.01.2022 Outlook and Gmail both have the capability to add emails to your Tasks saving you huge amounts of time This makes it super easy for you to read and file emails , set it as a task to do at a later date and not worry about losing the email because the Task links to the email. Let me know if you’re not sure how to do it in either program and I’ll record a couple of videos showing ‘how to’ for phone and desktop

04.01.2022 This is your gentle reminder that the end of the month (and the quarter) are coming up next week so book in some time with yourself, bookkeeper or administrator to make sure you’ve got all your receipts scanned and ready to go

02.01.2022 6pm has rolled around and our lockdown is over... so off we go to do what we do best... SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES. We hope that if you’ve been in lockdown or are in lockdown that you are supporting local as much as you can

01.01.2022 It’s called social media for a reason peeps . These days one of your business marketing strategies should be social media, so it’s important to remember to be social and not just as yourself, but as your business. This means using the Pages Manager app to comment and engage as your business page, and if you’ve joined Facebook groups to help build your network, be sure to comment and start conversations with your brand in mind.
