24.01.2022 #SaveVicSkinClinics We are beyond ecstatic for our beautiful state to reopen and rebuild. We, as Victorians, have truly shown immense grit, resilience and patience. HOWEVER. Every skin clinic in the state is devastated. As an industry highly regulated and educated in infection control both pre and post covid, we are absolutely flabbergasted that we are unable to operate - considering treating the face for most of us make up 90 - 95% of our services. We don’t have a date. Ev...en 0.2 average cases in regional Victoria are not enough for us to be opened. You can visit a pub without a mask. You can go to the gym without a mask. You can visit a restaurant without a mask. You can hire an escort or get a sensual massage without a mask. But NO. You cannot get a treatment for your acne?? A dentist can work on a patients mouth by using a double barrier (operator wearing a mask and a shield) Home Care workers can attend personal care by wearing a mask and a shield. Injectors can perform injectables on the lips whilst wearing just a mask. CoVid testers safely test 1000s of Victorians without a single transmission by wearing a mask and a shield. And yet you cannot have a skin treatment on the face. We can create a safe environment for clients by wearing 2 layers of protection so that our clients don’t have to. We are NOT Beauty Parlours. Premier, we demand you reopen our industry immediately to full capacity and with very comprehensive Covid safe plans and education. 23.01.2022 It’s official - we are allowed to reopen the doors this Thursday 17th of September!!! As previously stated ALL bookings were removed from the system! So please jump online and snap up your spots!!! * Sadly we will NOT be able to offer any service that needs a mask removed - this includes Facials, Lip, Chin and asides of face waxing! ... * Also we have removed Spray Tanning for now because let’s face it, who wants a tan without the face being done! But if you feel you would like a tan without the face being done please contact us for this! * Makeup is a no go, however again if you would like makeup we may be able to arrange for eyes only!! 23.01.2022 As many of you would have seen or heard the announcement today from Dan Andrews, we are heading into stage 3 lock down as of midnight Wednesday 5th of August. While we don’t know full details until tomorrow - we are strongly assuming that this means the same as last time and that Beauty services will be forced to come to a stop! So for now, while it saddens us that this is happening again we hope that this will mean that we can soon return to the new normal at the end of thi...s 6 weeks! Our team of girls are beyond amazing and have all offered to open up more hours to try and fit as many of you in before we have to close. So please if you would like something booked, please jump online and snap up your appointment as these are going fast! Once they are gone - they are GONE!!! As for any appointment booked from Thursday 6th of August, no need to contact us to cancel your spot as it will be automatically canceled! 17.01.2022 To all our amazing clients, It has been almost three years since our last price adjustment and during that time ONYX beauty has continued to have increasing costs in products, overheads, wages and now postage to get our high quality products! We have done our best to just absorb these costs but unfortunately the time has come to do an increase! ... The only other way we see to avoid this is to order cheaper products or shorten times of services. Both which we refuse to do! As we pride ourselves on knowing that we use such high quality products and know that we would be rushing services and compromise the quality of work if we shorten times, so the only way forward to maintain our high quality is to implement a well overdue price increase. The price increase will be minor for most but some services will have gone up more than others and some actually staying the same. This price increase will be implemented as of today and all future bookings will reflect this. I hope that you can understand and we know that this is never an easy thing and the timing never suits everyone (hence why we have tried to put it off for as long as we possibly can!). Being a small business we depend on our gorgeous clients to help keep our doors open - we know and understand that times are extremely tough for many people at the moment but we truly do love all your continued support and hope you understand this is something we absolutely need to do to maintain our high quality for all your beauty needs. When we are given the go ahead to reopen the doors, we will also be adding a few new things to our service menu that you guys have been requesting and some things will no longer be offered. 13.01.2022 It’s taken a few hours for it to sink in - Today’s announcement from Dan Andrews didn’t quiet go how many Victorians had hoped for! For now - all we can say, is that we are just as deflated as many of you. So I will keep this short as really not much to say! Beauty is still closed and from what understand - we will not be allowed to reopen until late November! ... So for now, all future appointments will be deleted from our system. We can’t tell you how much this breaks our heart and how much we are all missing you but it has to be done and we don’t have any say in it! Our heart goes out to ALL small businesses closed during this time and especially our fellow beauty therapists! I’m kind of a little lost for words right now, so I will just leave it at that and know that when we know more - we will let you all know! Thank you so much for all your love and support! 07.01.2022 Did you hear the news???? We are still waiting on official dates, But it looks like regional Victoria is well on track to being able to open things up a little more and come to a new life of Covid ‘normal’. That being said - we MAY be opening this coming week! ... Please be patient while we work this all out and as soon as we officially get the go ahead we will release the online booking again! We understand that many of you had appointments booked and just last week we were told we would be closed until the end of November!!!! So we have deleted bookings and will be starting fresh. You may notice our online booking is missing a few services as we are not able to perform any treatment where you would need to remove your face mask, so facials, makeup, lip and chin waxing etc for now has all been put on hold! But we can help with lashes, brows, tinting and other waxing services. So stay tuned - stay safe and get excited ladies - we are coming back!!!!
