25.01.2022 On Saturday we did a bit of farm work, the coral trees had fallen all over the creek and needed to be removed before they start growing again from the fallen tree. Removed more weeds while we were at it, fake tobacco trees and lantana. The telehandler is very useful.

20.01.2022 Made by our great wwoofers Nick and Leon, a great video of our farm and beautiful local 7mile beach. It was winter, cannot believe nearly nine months ago.

19.01.2022 On Sunday we did another great walk on our property and two of our seven boundary neighbours. Straight up the very steep hill behind the stables through the lantana to a bit of cleared land. The cows clearly have not been there for a while. Found the boundary fence and stone wall. Crossed into Johnsons land, then to Kennards to the top of the waterfall. Who knows where the boundary is. The lovely dam with ocean in the background is the Kennards garden. Then back down the very steep hill to the creek, last photo. #ooareefarm

07.01.2022 We have a cabin available for short term rental. I charge $125 per night during the week and $145 for Friday and Saturday nights, plus a $40 cleaning fee. There is a minimum two night stay. The price is based on two people sharing the King size bed on the mezzanine. It is best suited for couples. It has a composting toilet and a small kitchen with two hot plates and a microwave.

06.01.2022 Freddie moved up in the world, actually to the Southern Highlands. I am very happy to report that Freddie has found a wonderful home, a lovely young girl who at 14 is already a great rider. Lovely family, he will be well looked after. And hopefully we will get to see him jump at the local shows once life gets back to normal. Freddie came to me 4 and a half years ago, very well covered, the close up bum shot shows cellulitis. Once he lost the puppy fat he turned into a very good looking horse. We had lots of good times, Berry Riding Club Derby Champion last year.

05.01.2022 A drone is a great thing. Since these pictures have been taken the water is nearly completely gone from the second dam. Thank God the first dam is spring fed. We need some rain desperately

05.01.2022 The only good thing about the drought is that the lantana is dying too. The rainforest is in parts lantana free. I got carried away and for over two hours pulled out lantana and other weeds. Found some old rubbish and my arm suffered a few scratches....
