15.01.2022 Pancake Rocks Sunset Arrived at Panakaiki with rain clouds and fading light, so after a quick dash around the Pancake Rocks and Blowhole walkway circuit, this is the composition I chose to go with. I would have liked to explore this spot a bit more, but with the slippery surfaces, the diminishing light and posted 'DO NOT CROSS' signs on the railings, I didn't risk it? The rain was on and off which did accentuate the layered limestone rock. 08.01.2022 Otira Viaduct This location turned out to be quite the challenge to capture. Strong wind and sporadic rain was coming from all directions including from below. I had to be ready for the brief pockets of sunlight while wiping the raindrops from the Nisi 150mm filters. Another obstacle was a flock of keas wanting to know if my tripod was edible. These funny parrots are the clowns of New Zealand's mountains.... We may have stayed there for two hours to get the shot, but that's all part of landscape photography.
