21.01.2022 How are you holding up during these difficult times.....I have put together a few thoughts on how to manage . For some of them, there is more info at bottom to explain further. - Pray... - Turn off the TV/radio/social media and disconnect. Schedule specific times to catch up so you are restricted. - Focus on a healthy diet, lots of fresh fruit + veg, a good good Vit C powder - If staying home more, take time to learn something new online or an instrument or do online exercise - Practice gratitude, start writing in a journal and focus on what you are thankful for PRAYER - Steve and I have always had prayer as part of our lives. We both 'accidentally' found Christianity when we were each 18 (he is older than me) him in NZ with a street cafe and me with someone I worked with. Prayer is a regular thing we do together and is especially great during difficult times. If you need some prayer feel free to give me a call for a chat. 0413 197 321. LEARN - I have become a UTube lover and when I have time I love learning on there, in our field there is always so much to learn, but I have also learnt other non work things. One thing I began a few months ago was cooking all meals for the week in a few hours and UTube had heaps of teachers about that. If you have not been to Beechmont I highly recommend a visit or if you have not been for a while, revisit.....such a beautiful place - so inspiring....we came across a herd of goats on the road, like in England or something, it just made my day.

13.01.2022 A little peek at my weekend engagement shoot with Trinity and Daniel at their local park in Brisbane....we started around 7am and caught the rising sun, which created some very special light rays....

13.01.2022 Yesterday I was on my way to Brisbane from Gold Coast for a wedding. I was about 15m away from the bride's home when my tyre made a funny noise. I pulled over and could see I had a very damaged tyre - it was completely undriveable. I rang RACQ and they said because I was on the Gateway Motorway it was too dangerous to change there so it would have to be towed (there was a tonne of room though). Then I rang my hubby and he said I had to flag someone down to help me change the ...tyre. I looked at the oncoming traffic, lots of trucks and vehicles speeding by and wondered how on earth was I going to do that? Then I turned around and saw that someone had pulled over. With my phone in my hand and hubby on the line I raced up to him and asked if he could help me change my tyre. He said I saw you pull over and thought it was your tyre. I said I had a wedding to get to and was on a really tight deadline. Together this kind stranger helped me rapidly - we had no idea where my jack was or the thing that you use to raise the jack....but together we worked it out. I was undoing nuts while he was raising the car. We got the tyre changed with the speed of a Formula One Pits team - well not really - but we felt like we were going that fast.....15min later I was ready to drive off just as a tow truck pulled up. Luckily for me I had planned to arrive a half hour early so I could look around my bride's home to get a feel for photos I wanted to take....so I ended up arriving exactly on time. As wedding photographers we only get one chance to capture a couple's day and we need to have so many contingencies in place...maybe I now need to practice changing a tyre. But the thing I wanted to say is - I am so GRATEFUL for this stranger trusting his instinct and pulling over to help me.....he said he had daughters and totally understood my situation. To the stranger who helped me....I am SO grateful and would love to offer you a complimentary family shoot. x See more

So we headed up to Beechmont very early, to have a couple's shoot instead. Their first date was at Beechmont (not at this location) so we did a picnic shoot at their first date location as well.
